  • Day 1 Day 1: Smyrna-Pergamon-Thyateira

      Day 1: Smyrna-Pergamon-Thyateira

      After we meet in Izmir, we will visit Smyrna, โ€œthe suffering churchโ€ and the (โ€œDo not be afraid of anything that you are going to suffer. Indeed, the devil will throw some of you into prison, that you may be tested, and you will face an ordeal for ten daysโ€), home of great 2nd century Bishop Policarp who was burned alive at the age of 85.

      Then we will continue to Pergamum, โ€œthe compromising churchโ€; Revelation 2:12-16 describes the city as โ€œwhere Satanโ€™s seat isโ€, a reference to the altar of Zeus. 

      After lunch we will proceed to Thyateira; โ€œthe adulterous churchโ€ that, as mentioned in the Revelations, tolerated the false prophets, Jezebel (Rev. 1: 11; 2: 18-29). We will stay overnight in a hotel close to Sardes.

  • Day 2 Day 2: Sardes-Philedelphia-Laodicea

      Day 2: Sardes-Philedelphia-Laodicea

      Sardes, โ€œthe dead churchโ€, another of the Seven Churches of Revelation. Jesus told Sardes, โ€œI know thy works, that thou hast a name, that thou livest, and art deadโ€(Rev. 3: 1-6).

      After visiting โ€œthe faithful churchโ€ of Philadelphia, we will drive to Laodicea the church chastised for being lukewarm, "You are neither cold nor hot" (Rev. 3: 15), and for being too comfortable incorporating pagan and Christian beliefs then we will drive abour 2hrs 30 min to Kusadasฤฑ and overnight stay.

  • Day 3 Day 3: Ephesus And Surrounding Sites.

      Day 3: Ephesus And Surrounding Sites.

      We will visit Ephesus (โ€œthe loveless churchโ€, the most important of the seven churches), House of Virgin Mary where she is said to have spent her final years and Basilica of St. John also known as Church of St. John the Theologian. After the tour we can transfer you to Izmir airport.
