Day 1: Athens - Corinth Canal - Epidaurus - Nafplion

Stop At: Corinth Canal, Isthmia, Corinth 201 00 Greece
Take a photo of this huge construction of the 19th century. Corinth Canal connects the Gulf of Corinth with the Saronic Gulf in the Aegean Sea. It cuts through the narrow Isthmus of Corinth and separates the Peloponnese from the Greek mainland, arguably making the peninsula an island. The canal was dug through the Isthmus at sea level and has no locks.

Stop At: The Great Theatre of Epidaurus, Ethniki Odos Isthmou Archaias Epidavrou, Epidavros 210 52 Greece
Drive to Epidaurus for a visit at the ancient theatre, famous for its remarkable acoustics.
Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Nafplio, Nafplio, Argolis Region, Peloponnese
Proceed to Nafplion. Nafplion was the first capital of Greece after the Indipendence war against the Ottomans back on 1821. Afternoon free for a visit to the Venetian fortress of Palamidi crowning the city, walking throught the picturesque small streets or alternatively go swimming. Also you can have the option to visit National Gallery(Nafplion Annex). The Annex of the National Gallery in Nafplion is housed in a historical building and has a permanent collection comprising works inspired from the Greek War of independence.

Day 3: Olympia - Delphi

Visit the archaeological site with the Temple of Zeus, the Temple of Hera, the altar of the Olympic flame, the Stadium and the archaeological Museum.

Pass By: Rio-Antirrio Bridge (Charilaos Trikoupis), Gefira Charilaos Trikoupis, Antirrio Greece
Drive via Patras to Rion, cross the channel to Antirion on the state of the art new suspended bridge considered to be the longest and most modern in Europe.

In the morning visit the archaeological site and the museum of Delphi. The Museum with the famous bronze Charioteer, the statue of Antinoos, the athlete Aghias and the site in which you will admire the Ancient Sanctuary and all the renowned ruins of the Opals (Navel) of the Ancient world

Day 5: Kalabaka - Meteora - Thermopylae - Athens

Stop At: Meteora, Meteora, Trikala Region, Thessaly
In the morning, visit the breathtaking Meteora monasteries, built on top of rock towers and providing fantastic views over the plain. We will make a tour around the rocks getting some unbelievable views and visit 2 or 3 monasteries depending the day/time.

Stop At: Leonidas Monument, Lamia, Thermopylae 350 09 Greece
Leonidas of Sparta and the 300 Spartans-The battle of Thermopylae; Thermopylae is a mountain pass near the sea in northern Greece which was the site of several battles in antiquity, the most famous being that between Persians and Greeks in August 480 BCE. Despite being greatly inferior in numbers, the Greeks held the narrow pass for three days with Spartan king Leonidas fighting a last-ditch defence with a small force of Spartans and other Greek hoplites. Ultimately the Persians took control of the pass, but the heroic defeat of Leonidas would assume legendary proportions for later generations of Greeks, and within a year the Persian invasion would be repulsed at the battles of Salamis and Plataea.
