Arrive in Lhasa either by train or by plane. Your driver will deliver you to hotel in downtown.
Day 2:ย Lhasa
Visit Tibetโs iconic sites: Jokhang Temple in Lhasaโs famous Barkhor Square, the renowned Potala Palace, and Ramoche.
Day 3:ย Lhasa
Visit Tibetโs most famous Gelugpa monasteries: Sera and Drepung monasteries.
Day 4:ย Day Hike to Pabongkha Monastery
Hiking out to Pabongkha Monastery, a seventh century site renowned as the birthplace of Tibetan calligraphy.
Day 5:ย Lhasa โ Gyantse
Breathtaking views as we cross the Kamba Pass (4795m) to have panoramic view of the sacred Yamdrok Lake. Crosse the Karo Pass (5010m) and visit Pelkor Chode Monastery Gyantse.
Day 6:ย Gyantse โ Shigatse
Shigatse is home to Tashilhunpo Monastery, the historic residence of the Panchen Lama lineage of reincarnate lamas.
Day 7:ย Shigatse โ Rongbuk
Head out for Rongbuk, the departure point for accessing Everest Base Camp.
Day 8:ย Everest Base Camp โ Saga
Drive to Saga after enjoying the sunrise on top of Everest.
Day 9:ย Sagaย - Lake Manasarovar
Finally see Mt. Kailash as we head out west. Explore the holy Lake Manasarovar on the way.
Day 10:ย Manasarovar โย Dharchen
Spend the morning at the lake before driving to Dharchen, the starting point for our trek.
Day 11: Trek toย Dirra Puk (Festival Day)
The beginning of our trek on full-moon Saga Dawa Festival. The opening ceremonies involve the hanging of prayer flags and reciting of prayers, after which pilgrims and attendees begin their circumambulation of Mt. Kailash, a ritual in which we too will partake!
Day 12:ย Trek toย Zultrul Puk
A tough day. We cross the highest point of our trip on the Dolma Pass (5700m).
Day 13:ย Trek to Dharchenย โ Manasarovar
Our last day will be an easy walk back to Dharchen where our driver will pick us up and take us back to Lake Manasarovar to spend the night.
Day 14:ย Manasarovar โ Saga
Begin our return journey to Lhasa by driving back through Saga.
Day 15:ย Saga โ Lhasa
Return to Lhasa for our last night.
Day 16:ย Departure
Our trip has come to an end! You will be delivered to the airport or train station.
