What is the best season for this adventure?

The best time to travel to eastern Canada is in the summer months, from June to September. The temperature is then pleasant and there is little precipitation. Nature lovers are advised to travel between mid-September and mid-October during the Indian summer.

How is the weather in this experience?

Accepted Answer

The weather usually varies according to the season. In Eastern Canada, summers are comfortable; winters are icy, snowy and windy and partly cloudy throughout the year. Over the course of the year, the temperature generally varies from -8 °C to 25 °C and rarely drops below -17 °C or rises to more than 30 °C.

Where does the experience start? Will you pick me up at the airport or hotel?

Accepted Answer

You will be picked up upon arrival at Toronto Airport to take you to the Hotel. You must send your flight itinerary through the chat at least three weeks before the start of your experience to coordinate the transfer. If before or during your flight you suffer itinerary modifications due to the airline and/or delays due to loss of baggage, you must notify via the emergency phone (not chat) to manage the corresponding changes in the airport-hotel transfer. The operator will make every effort to manage a new transfer, however it is not mandatory that it can do so, depending on the time you notify it and the availability of the movers. If you book previous nights on your own the transfer will not be included. The departure transfer is also included. If you stay later nights on your own the hotel - airport transfer is not included.

Are there any medical or vaccination requirements?

Accepted Answer

Canada does not require any type of vaccine to enter the country, however it is advisable to have routine vaccines, including tetanus, typhoid, chickenpox, hepatitis A and B. It is likely that in order to board your flight, the airline will ask you for a VOCID-vaccination certificate19 with at least two doses, applied at least 15 days before your flight date and/or a PCR Negative test. For more information consult directly with the corresponding airline and the embassy page of each country visited.

What if I get sick or hurt on the trip and can’t continue?

During your experience it is essential to notify your guide soon any discomfort or eventuality that occurs, so they can attend you and give you the necessary support. In very serious cases medical care is organized with the insurer. It is advisable to always travel with insurance for higher expenses.

What currency do you recommend? Where can I change?

Accepted Answer

The currency used during the experience is the Canadian Dollar (CAD), we recommend you to change to the local currency on arrival in the country, it is possible to change in some currency exchange houses, airport and ATMs. Not all stores accept international credit and debit cards, so it is always recommended to have some cash on hand.

The experience does not include domestic flights, travel insurance, personal expenses, meals, drinks and transfers not described in the itinerary. During your experience you will have free time to visit museums and tourist places not included, so we recommend carrying an approximate daily of $100 CAD.

The groups are usually about 10 to 20 people.

Once you have finished the activities during the day it is possible to have free time to enjoy at your own pace, the guide will inform you.

What recommendations are there for free time?

Accepted Answer

During your free time you can get to know the city better, visit a restaurant, walk the streets, some recommendations: 
- Toronto: Visit the Hockey Hall of Fame, Kensington Market, Royal Ontario Museum, Toronto City Hall, Ripley’s Aquarium Canada, CN Tower.
- Niagara-on-the-lake:  A stroll through the old town by carriage or a boat on the Niagara River.
- Niagara: we recommend visiting the falls day and night, when you can enjoy a light show. Weather permitting, you can fly over the falls by helicopter.
- Ottawa: Visit the parliament of Ottawa, climb the Peace Tower and enjoy the visits, walk around the Rideau Canal,  Visit the Notre-Dame Cathedral.
-Quebec: Visit the Basilica Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré Shrine, get into the past in old Quebec, get to know the Château Frontenac, visit the Montmorency waterfalls, add some of the optional excursions (you can check the extras section). Quebéc. The province of Quebec offers excursions by tourist boat, boat, zodiac or kayak. Depending on the season different species are seen, but the most indicated dates are from May to October.
- Montreal: Explore the old town of Montreal, visit St. Louis Square, stroll down St. Paul Street, 4. cross through the Old Port of Montreal.

This experience includes: 6 breakfasts (1 American and 5 continental), depending on the type of hotel you are staying at (3 or 4 stars) and a typical lunch at the Chez Danny cabin

What is the average price of meals not included?

Accepted Answer

The price of the meal varies according to the dish and place. Here are the common food prices so you can compare and make a budget estimate: beer (1/2 liter) $6.5 CAD, McDonalds menu, Burger King or similar	  $12 CAD, Lunch for two at a la carte restaurant (two courses and dessert)  $80 CAD, Lunch at a budget restaurant (menu of the day) $20 CAD.

What if I travel alone? Is it possible?

Of course you can travel alone, however this experience has a minimum of operation of 2 people, so if you travel only you must add a mandatory individual supplement that guarantees a private room during your experience.

What is the minimum and maximum age? Does the price change for minors?

Accepted Answer

The experience does not require a minimum age, however minors must be accompanied at all times by responsible adults (+18 years) and share a room. Please see the "Extras" section for more information on lower fares. Children under 12 years old at the time of travel have a regular rate. 
The maximum recommended age for this experience is 75 years with excellent physical condition, it is important to consider that during the itinerary you usually walk a lot and the road transfers are long. Children under 5 years old must travel in a special chair for transfers according to Canadian law, the rent of this chair is already included in the corresponding rate. Passengers are not allowed to carry this chair on their own.

If I arrive a day early or leave a day later, where can I stay?

The experience begins in Toronto and ends in Montreal. If you want to take extra nights in this city, you can check our extras section or with your guide through the traveler chat within your session, to know what are the best options. If you stay on your own the transfer to and from the airport will not be included.

Wi-Fi is available at each of the hotels where you stay, as far as coverage is concerned you can buy a chip at the airport on arrival to stay connected.

Yes, you can charge your electronics in the hotels provided.

What voltage is used, do I need adapter?

Accepted Answer

In Canada the common voltage is 120 V. The frequency is 60 Hz. Plugs and plugs are type A/B. Colombian and Mexican travelers do not need an adapter.

When can I arrive on day 1?

Accepted Answer

Day 1 is exclusive to your arrival, so there is no specific schedule at which you must arrive. The guide awaits you upon arrival at the Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ) a maximum duration of 2 hours and a half. In case you suffer an affectation or delay in your flight by the airline you must notify as soon as possible to the emergency telephone, our operator at destination will do its best to manage a new arrival transfer, Without it being your responsibility not to be able to do so due to lack of availability. In case it is not possible to manage a new transfer will be considered a no-show and there will be no possibility of reimbursement. Pax will have to move on his own to the hotel to start the experience. It is important to share with the guide the schedule of your flights through the chat of your reservation.  Check-in at the hotel is available from 2:00 pm.

What time do we finish on the last day?

The last day is exclusive for the return to your hometown. The transfer to the Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport
(YUL) is included if you book extra nights with us. If you decide to stay longer and stay on your own this transfer will not be included. Check-out at the hotel is available until noon, 12:00.

What physical condition do I need to complete this experience?

During the experience you have some activities that require a little physical effort, such as irregular terrain walks, in addition to long road trips, so it is necessary to have good physical condition as you will stay active and visit different places.

Do I need travel insurance? What should my policy cover?

Accepted Answer

To visit Canada it is not mandatory to have travel insurance, however we recommend buying one that covers any eventuality such as delayed or cancelled flights, as well as having a higher medical insurance for any kind of emergency.

Do I need any special equipment? What kind of clothes do I need?

Accepted Answer

Comfortable clothing, walking shoes, coat, sunglasses, sunscreen, cap or hat, swimsuit, some small backpack to carry your belongings during the day, a bottle of water. If you travel during the winter you should wear thermal clothing that supports temperatures under 0°.

It is recommended to carry a backpack or lightweight suitcase of maximum 20 kilos in addition to carrying only what is necessary.

You need to check directly with your country’s embassy to confirm if there is any visa requirement to visit Canada. This will depend on your nationality. It is also important that your passport is valid for at least six months from the time you return. Yes, the experience includes an international flight from Mexico City to Toronto and from Montreal to Mexico City in economy class. Flights include a documented suitcase of up to 20 kilos.

The route, date and times of your flights you will know at the latest 7 days before starting your experience. It is important to note that you may need days before or after your flight experience. The flight itinerary does not include stops in the USA so it is not necessary to have an American visa.
