  • Day 2 Tokyo
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Tokyo

Your tour gets up and running today, but youโ€™ll be biking through some of the cityโ€™s most charming neighbourhoods. Weโ€™ll take you to a Buddhist Temple where youโ€™ll see an amazing local ceremony, then itโ€™s back on your bike to round off the trip with a sake sampling.

This afternoon, youโ€™ll brush up on Japanese gastronomy with a sushi-making class - before you sample it for dinner! Then, in the evening youโ€™re off to the glamorous Roppongi Hills.

  • Day 3 Tokyo
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Tokyo

Weโ€™re getting to grips with an iconic Japanese sport: sumo wrestling! Itโ€™s a national obsession, and weโ€™ve got the VIP pass to watch a training session before eating lunch with the wrestlers.

After this, weโ€™re off into Tokyo, where weโ€™ll take you around the distinctive local neighbourhoods. You can get your geek on in Akihabara or explore the fashionista madness of Harajuku.

  • Day 4 Hakone
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Hakone

From the city to the country - weโ€™re taking you to Fuji! Head to the 5th station for incredible views, and even more incredible sake. Then, in the evening weโ€™re relaxing in a ryokan, which is a beautiful traditional form of mountain accommodation. Youโ€™ll get to relax in a hot water onsen before we take you for a traditional kaseiki dinner.

  • Day 5 Hakone
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Hakone

Wake up with the incredible views of Fuji at sunrise, before heading back for breakfast.

After that, destress in the hot springs before we take you into the city of Kyoto! With over 2000 temples across the city (including the beautiful Kiyomizu Temple), youโ€™re never far away from a moment of serenity.

This evening, head into the foodie paradise of Pontocho Alley, before we enjoy a riverside picnic on the banks of the River Kamo.

  • Day 6 Kyoto
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Kyoto

First things first: Fushimi. Weโ€™re off the Fushimi Inari Shrine - if thereโ€™s a more enduring image of Japan than this, I challenge you to find it! Weโ€™ll head through the amazing torii gates and up into the hillside trails, before heading back to town.

Then, weโ€™re off for tea with a geisha, where youโ€™ll get the opportunity to learn first-hand about this amazing aspect of Japanese culture. Then, limber up your vocal cords for another aspect: karaoke!

  • Day 7 Kyoto
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Kyoto

Cycling is the best way to get around Kyoto, so youโ€™ll see the sights today on a bike tour. After that, bring your heart rate down with a meditation class and temple tour. After that, weโ€™re off another iconic image in Japan - the Golden Pavilion. After gawping at that, weโ€™re off to the Kyoto Imperial Palace, before you get an introduction to the skills needed to become a ninja.

Tonight, enjoy a slice of traditional Japan with dinner at an izakaya on Pontocho Alley.

  • Day 8 Kyoto & Arashiyama
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Kyoto & Arashiyama

This morning, youโ€™re grabbing a coffee on the go, as you jump on board a traditional boat for a gorgeous cruise down the Hozugawa River. Then, once weโ€™re back on dry land weโ€™re heading up into the hills to explore Arashiyamaโ€™s bamboo forest and the Tenryuji Temple.

Bags packed, because itโ€™s onto our next stop via bullet train - Hiroshima. Youโ€™ll be welcomed with an okonomiyaki dinner, before itโ€™s time to rest up in a luxury hotel ahead of your next adventure.

  • Day 9 Hiroshima & Miyajima
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Hiroshima & Miyajima

Weโ€™re venturing to Miyajima Island today, which is a beautiful spot filled with the best sea views (and better sea food!) Work up an appetite with a spot of sea kayaking, where you can make your way to the giant torii gate offshore, before we see the sights from the sky with a trip on the ropeway.

The evening takes us back into Hiroshima, where after an okonomiyaki dinner, weโ€™ll check out the night scene and experience all the buzzing bars the city has to offer.

  • Day 10 Hiroshima & Osaka
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Hiroshima & Osaka

This morning weโ€™ll reflect on a tragic moment in global history, with a visit to the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum. Both sad and inspiring, itโ€™s an important part of Japanese history but shows how the country is exploring their hopes for the future.

After that, weโ€™re whizzing off to Osaka - Japanโ€™s stomach! Weโ€™ll explore the city from a boat on the Dotonbori river before enjoying a takoyaki dinner. Then itโ€™s off for a craft beer crawl, where youโ€™ll visit the best bars in the city for a fun-filled night.

  • Day 11 Osaka
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Osaka

Today is the end of your Japan adventure - but let us know if you want to stay even longer!
