      Day 2: Tegernsee - Schliersee

      You start the tour at the train station in the village of Tegernsee and climb up to the well-known Neureuth Hut. An even more beautiful variant of the well-known Prinzenweg leads you via Gindelalm and the Auer Berg to the Huberspitzhaus. From here, itโ€™s back down the valley to Schliersee.

      Day 3: Schliersee - Wendelstein - Bayrischzell

      From the picturesque Schliersee, take the public bus for a bit to Aurach. From here you hike to Fischbachau, past the well-known place of election - Birkenstein. From there, the path winds its way across picturesque alpine meadows up to the summit. The summit with its fantastic panoramic view lets you already look deep into the Alps. Take the cable car back to the valley and to your destination Bayrischzell. Variant: Aschau - Bayrischzell (approx. 3 h / approx. 10.8 KM / uphill 191 m / downhill 166 m) Short bus ride to Aschau, from here hike to Birkenstein and at the foot of the Wendelstein to Bayrischzell. Ascent to the summit possible with the Wendelstein cable car (ticket not included).

  • Day 4 Day 4: Bayrischzell - Thiersee

      Day 4: Bayrischzell - Thiersee

      Short transfer from Bayrischzell to the starting point. From here you hike over the Nesselberg to the border of Bavaria and Austria/Tyrol. Continue to the Mariandlalm before you hike leisurely with a constant view of the Wilder Kaiser via the Traisenalm to Thiersee. From there you take the public bus to Hinterthiersee to your hotel.

      Todayโ€™s stage takes you via Thiersee, Lรคngsee and Hechtsee to the pearl of the Inn - Kufstein. Here it is definitely worth visiting the fortress and the largest open-air organ in the world.

      From Kufstein with the Kaiserlift to the Brentenjoch (ticket not included). On the trails of the Adlerweg to the Kaindlhรผtte and further over the Walleralm along the side of the Wilder Kaiser to the home of the mountain doctor in Ellmau. Free bus shuttle from Hintersteinersee to Scheffau and on to Ellmau.

      They start over the local mountain to Reith near Kitzbรผhel. It soon becomes clear why "high society" has found its second home here. Via the Gieringer Weiher and the Schwarzsee you reach the legendary chamois and sports town of Kitzbรผhel.

      A shuttle will take you to the starting point. Passing over lush alpine pastures below the valley heights, you hike further and further up into the beautiful mountain world. Enjoy the tranquility and the flora and fauna. Over the Gauxjoch you reach the Trattenbachalm and the Hartkaserhรถhe. Along the mountain top runs the border between the two provinces of Tyrol and Salzburg. Descent to the valley to Mittersill. Leisurely variant: If you want to avoid the descent from Resterhรถhe, you can shorten a few meters in altitude with the Panoramabahn Kitzbรผheler Alpen II (not included in the price). A bus will take you to Mittersill (alternative descent with cable car: approx. 4-5 hours / approx. 14 km / uphill 875 m / downhill 250 m).

  • Day 9 Day 9: Mittersill - Tauernhaus - Venedigerblick - Matrei

      In the morning there is a transfer from Mittersill to the Matreier Tauernhaus. Those who wish can also make the crossing from Hintersee to the St. Pรถltener Hรผtte and to the Matreier Tauernhaus. First, the path leads in a steady ascent through meadows and larch forests to the Venedigerblick. Once you reach the highest point, you will be offered a wonderful view of the glacier world of the GroรŸvenediger. Via a well signposted hiking trail, the GroรŸvenediger and the surrounding mountains always in view, you hike in the direction of Innergschlรถss and across the beautiful alpine pastures back to the Matreier Tauernhaus. From there you can get to Matrei by public transport. Alternative 1: Hintersee - St. Pรถltener Hรผtte - Tauernhaus (approx. 5.5 - 6.5 hours / approx. 13 km / uphill 1225 m / downhill 1025 m) Alternative 2: InnergschlรถรŸ (approx. 3 hours / approx. 9 km / uphill 225 m / downhill 225 m).

  • Day 10 Day 10: Matrei - Mariahilf - Gsieser Tรถrl - Gsieser Valley

      After a drive in the Defreggental to Mariahilf you start todayโ€™s hiking day. On shady forest paths you will climb higher and higher until you reach the first alpine pastures and the Gsieser Tรถrl, around which many old smuggler stories are told. The view sweeps across the valley to the Braies Dolomites. On your way to the tranquil Gsiesertal, the Oberbergalm, Kradorferalm, Messnerhรผtte and many more invite you to enjoy traditional delicacies.

      Todayโ€™s stage leads further and further south and the Dolomites are only a stoneโ€™s throw away. From the Gsiesertal valley it goes comfortably steadily uphill to the crossing of Frondeign. The path winds down to Wahlen. The valley widens and gives a view of the Neunerkofel, Haunold, Dรผrrenstein and the Hรถhlenstein valley.

      Public transport will take you to the starting point of the hiking tour in the Sesto Fiscalina Valley. From there you hike below the Paternkofel, which was fought over during the First World War (the legendary mountain guide Sepp Innerkofler lost his life here), in the direction of the landmark of the Dolomites, the UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site of the Three Peaks and the famous Three Peaks Hut. Here begins the beautiful northern part of the hike with the typical image of the Three Peaks. Via a hiking trail you will finally reach the Lange Alm and from there it goes over the Rienzbรถden and the Rienztal to the Drei Zinnenblick. With public transport you return to your hotel in Dobbiaco/Lower Villabassa. For the more leisurely there is the possibility to walk around the famous Three Peaks and take the bus to the Rifugio Auronzo and back to Dobbiaco/Lower Villabassa.
