      Departure to the city for sightseeing. Acquaintance with the city will begin with the Cathedral of "Sameba" - a symbol of the Georgian revival, unity and immortality. It rises in the center of Tbilisi at the top of Mount St. Ilya. โ€œSamebaโ€ in English means โ€œHoly Trinityโ€. Further, the transition to the monument to the founder of the city of Tbilisi, the great Georgian ruler Vakhtang Gorgasali. Gorgasali is a nickname, so the king was called in the war and means "be careful with the person with the head of a wolf." Temple Metekhi - the walls of the temple are composed of classical Georgian technology. They amaze with their accuracy the stones and their laying.

      A wonderful view of the old part of the city of Tbilisi opens from the Metekhi Plateau. Next on the lift we will find ourselves in the Narikala fortress in a few minutes, where intriguing fascinating views of this legendary capital of Georgia will open to us. Narikala fortress - the heart of the old city, it for 15 centuries together with the Metekhsky castle was the main military defensive fortification of the city. And, of course, here we will be greeted by one of the main symbols of Tbilisi โ€œMother of Georgiaโ€ with a cup of wine in its left hand, symbolizing the hospitality of the people, with a sword in its right hand, in order to be able to adequately fight back the enemies. You will have the opportunity to feel the flavor of old Tiflis.

      Temple of Sioni - was founded in the 6th century. The venerable age of the temple is also indicated by the fact that its floor now lies almost three meters below the surface of the pavement. Also on our way is a visit to the modern bridge - the Peace Bridge, from where fascinating views of modern Tbilisi are opened and colorful photos are obtained. After the excursion lunch (for extra charge).


      Departure for an excursion to the ancient capital of Georgia - Mtskheta. Mtskheta is the oldest city, the first capital of Georgia, the soul of this amazing country. Here you will have the opportunity to get acquainted with the Cathedral "Svetitskhoveli" (XI century). He, the cathedral of the 12 apostles. At its base lies the Heaton of the Lord. Thanks to this shrine, Mtskheta is called the โ€œsecond Jerusalemโ€. Letโ€™s go up to Jvari Monastery (V century), from where a beautiful panorama of the ancient capital opens (in Jerusalem there is a church with the same name). According to the legend, this temple was erected over the sprinkling of fragrant oil (miro) stump of that cedar, under which St. Nino, the enlightener of Georgia, prayed.

      10: 00Today we go to the homeland of wine and winemaking - Kakheti. Kakheti is the most fertile region of Georgia and the birthplace of the best wine in the entire post-Soviet space. Hectares of vineyards, many ancient temples and monasteries, sleepy towns with tiled roofs ... sometimes it begins to seem that this is not Georgia at all. Today, more than 500 types of grapes grow in our amazing country, and Georgian wines are known for their unique properties and characteristics, because the art of winemaking is fundamentally different from the European one.

      On the way to Sighnaghi, visit the convent "Bodbe" - the monastic and episcopal complex of St. George. Great Shrine of Georgia. Here you can make a wish by putting a hand on the grave of Saint Nino, and your wish will certainly be fulfilled.

      Next, arrival in Sighnagi is a city of love, spread out in a complex mountain relief. From the city offers an exceptional view of the Alazani Valley. Especially in the restored city, balconies with wooden openwork fences are remembered. Here in the narrow streets of the old city one can feel the flavor of the past centuries well. Sighnaghi became a city in the second half of the 18th century. Then, or rather, in 1762 a fortress was built. Today Sighnaghi is notable for the fact that a registry office operates around the clock, and lovers from all over the world consider it an honor to legitimize their relationship in the city of love.

      Upon request, visit the ethnographic museum (2-3 dollars.). Thanks to intensive archaeological excavations in Kakheti, discovered household and religious objects, ranging from the Stone Age to the I century BC. kept in a museum. The exhibition presents archaeological material of the 4th-18th centuries of the eastern provinces of historical Georgia. The museum was founded in 1959, and in 2007 it already appeared in a completely updated modern form. In the large hall exhibited 16 paintings by Niko Pirosmanishvili, world famous artist.

      09:00 Today we set off in the direction of Stepantsminda along the Georgian Military Highway. On the way we will see the picturesque fortress of Ananuri (XVI century), located above the Aragvi River, as well as the stunning beauty of the Zhinval Reservoir. On the way, we will have lunch in one of the cozy cafes (for the add. Fee) Passing the Gudauri ski center (2200 meters above sea level), we will get to the observation deck at the monument โ€œArch of Friendship. A stunning trip along the Tergicherez River Cross Pass (2400 meters above sea level) will lead us to the small village of Stepantsminda in the mountains of Kazbegi. When the weather is clear, there is a stunning, phantasmagoric view of one of the highest peaks of Georgia - Mount Kazbek (5147 meters above sea level). Kazbek is an extinct volcano, the last eruption of which occurred about 6 thousand years ago. In Georgian, Kazbek mountain is translated as โ€œmountain with ice topโ€. Indeed, the mountain is covered with eternal snows and valley glaciers with a total area of 135 square meters. km

      We are waiting for a visit to the highest mountain structure in Europe - the Church of the Most Holy Trinity Gergeti (2170 meters above sea level). A jeeps climb to the church is included. Return to Tbilisi. Overnight at the hotel.
