      Arrive at the Tashknet International Airport and transfer to the hotel.

      Breakfast at the hotel. Start guided tour in Tashkent โ€“ 2200 years old capital city of Uzbekistan.

      We will start from the Old City: Khast Imam Ensemble โ€“ a religious center of the city consisting of Barakkhan Madrasah, Tillya Shaykh Mosque, Kaffal Shashi Mausoleum and the library of Islamic Literature with original Uthmanโ€™s Quran of the VIII century. Explore traditional Chor-Su Bazaar โ€“ oldest in Tashkent where you can buy souvenirs, watch Uzbek bread baking process in traditional oven, taste some local food. Visiting modern part of Tashkent: Applied Arts Museum where one can see Uzbek fabrics, Bukhara and Khiva carpets, โ€œSuzaniโ€ embroidery, metal and wooden items adorned with ornate Arabic lettering, oriental jewelry, and ceramics. Continue to Mustakillik Square โ€“ symbol of Uzbek capital and popular place for people. We will use Tashkent subway to get to Amir Temur Square โ€“ the heart of the city, established on the intersection of two ancient trade roads, with many modern buildings.

      Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the airport for morning flight to Urgench. Arrive in Urgench, transfer to Khiva. Leaving luggage at the hotel and starting city tour. Today we will explore ancient inner town Ichan Kala (UNESCO World Heritage site, XIV-XX CC) โ€“ big open air museum consisting of Muhammad Amin Khan Madrassah, Kalta Minor Minaret, Kunya Ark, Muhamad Rahim Khan Madrassah, Juma Mosque of X century, Tash Hauli โ€“ main palace of Khiva rulers, Islam Khodja Minaret and Madrassah, Shirgazi Khan Madrassah, Pahlavan Mahmud Mausoleum.

      Breakfast at the hotel. Drive to Bukhara through Kyzylkum Desert (7-8 hours). Arrive in Bukhara, free time.

      Breakfast at the hotel. Today we will see Ark Fortress โ€“ residence of Bukhara khans, Bolo Hauz Mosque, Samanids Mausoleum โ€“ Shrine of Ismail Samani and other members of the Samanid Dynasty, Chashma-Ayub Mausoleum โ€“ Saint Jobโ€™s well.

      Continue to Poi-Kalyan complex with Kalyan Minaret through orient bazaars with trade domes, Ulugbek Madrassah, Abdulazizkhan Madrassah. Visiting Lyabi Hauz complex consisting of Kukeldash Madrassah, Magoki Attori Mosque now used as a carpet museum, Nadir Divan-begi Madrassah and Nadir Divan-begi Khanaka.

      Breakfast at the hotel. Today we drive outside Bukhara for sightseeing: Sitorai Mokhi Khosa โ€“ summer residence of the last Emir of Bukhara, Chor Bakr Necropolis โ€“ city of the dead, Baghautdin Nakhshbandi Mausoleum โ€“ center of Sufism and most important pilgrimage site.

      Transfer to the railway station for train departing at 15:48. Arrive in Samarkand at 17:25, transfer to the hotel.

      Breakfast at the hotel. We will start sightseeing from Gur Emir Mausoleum (tomb of Tamerlane), continue with iconic Registan Square (which means โ€œdesertโ€ in Persian) and three madrassahs (religious study centers) surrounding the square: Ulughbek Madrassah, Sher-Dor Madrassah, and Tillya-Kari Madrassah โ€“ covered with gold. Visit to Shakhi Zinda Necropolis โ€“ ensemble including mausoleums and other ritual buildings of IX-XIV and XIX CC, Ulughbek Observatory, built in XV century by Timurid ruler and astronomer, Bibi Khanym Mosque โ€“ built by Amir Timur for his favorite wife in XV century.

  • Day 7 Day 7: Samarkand - Penjikent โ€“ Hazorchashma

      Day 7: Samarkand - Penjikent โ€“ Hazorchashma

      Early in the morning. You will be transferred to Jartepa border where you meet your Tajik guide and drivers who will transfer to the Shing valley. On the way, you will visit the UNESCO Heritage sight โ€“Sarazm ruins which is the oldest settlement in the whole Central Asia. Following a route which takes us through the Shing Gorge, with its famous seven pearls of Tajikistan โ€“ seven mountain lakes each with its own distinctive color, microclimate, and flora. Near the fourth lake we stop at the village of Noffin for lunch in a family guesthouse. We drive further to the sixth lake and from there we hike in less than one hour up to the 7th and last lake โ€“ Hazorchashma. The crew of donkeys, cook and support staff will meet us at the lake. You may relax at the lake, go for a swim, or have a walk around the lake if you like. Altitude: 2400m.

      Day 8: Hazorchashma โ€“ Tovassang Pass - Danisher

      Start the day with a nutritious breakfast. You will be trekking today around 6 hours, mostly uphill, so you will need the sustenance. We trek eastwards from Hazorchashma lake towards Tovassang Pass, climbing steadily as the pass is at an altitude of 3350m. The exertion is well worth the effort, though, as we will be treated to an incredible view over the stunning Sarmat Gorge. We continue on, through the breathtaking Danisher Gorge, camping along the way. Altitude: 2800, trekking 12km, 6 hours.

      Fortunately, what goes up must come down and itโ€™s downhill all the way today. Weโ€™ll stroll down the trail that leads through dense forest to the small village of Khomori Goitan before crossing the Archamaidon and Sarmat rivers. Weโ€™ll be glad of our crew and their pack mules whoโ€™ll take the hard work out of carrying our gear, leaving us free to focus our attention solely on the unmissable scenery that unfolds before us. Our goal today is to reach the Duoba campsite, located at 1870 metres above sea level at the confluence of the Archamaidon and Sarmat rivers. Altitude: 1900m altitude, 14km, 6hours.

      Another dayโ€™s trekking begins this morning, and a very pleasant walk it is too. Our route hugs the banks of the Archamaidon River. In comparison to the rocky slopes, the meadows which surround the river are lush from the water used to irrigate them. We follow the main road past the villages of Voru and Gaza. Having broken for lunch somewhere along the way we will hike until we reach the village of Zimtut, where we are welcomed by a friendly family in their house, where we will have dinner and overnight. There will be some time to discover the charming village of Zimtut and get acquainted with the villagers. Altitude 1900m, 12km, 6hours

  • Day 11 Day 11: Zimtut โ€“ Chukurak Lake โ€“ Artuch Camp

      Day 11: Zimtut โ€“ Chukurak Lake โ€“ Artuch Camp

      Today it is time to hike uphill again as we will cross Ghuytan pass (3000m) to reach Chukurak lake (2450m). After a short rest at the lake we hike half an hour down to Artuch Alpinist camp, where you will be able to sleep in a single room with private bathroom and shower. Altitude: 2200m, 10km, 6 hours.

  • Day 12 Day 12: Artuch - Kulikalon Lake
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Day 12: Artuch - Kulikalon Lake

      The donkeys arrive in the morning to carry the luggage. After having a breakfast and short instruction by the mountain guide, we start 4 hours trekking. Overnight at shore of Bibijanat lake in the 2 persons tent. 2800.

  • Day 13 Day 13: Kulikalon Lake - Alauddin Lake

      Day 13: Kulikalon Lake - Alauddin Lake

      In the morning, we start ascend to Alaudin pass (3860 m, 10 km, ~6 hrs, +960 m). The beautiful panorama of the surrounding peaks and lakes will be seen from the top of pass. Descend to a campsite by the first Alaudin lake. Altitude: 2770m. Accommodation: camping

  • Day 14 Day 14: Alauddin Lake

      Day 14: Alauddin Lake

      After breakfast in the Alaudin lake, we slowly start ascend to the Mutnoe lake (3520m) which takes about 4 hours. On the way, we enjoy the view to the peaks and view from the top. Accommodation: camping 

  • Day 15 Day 15: Alauddin Lake - Iskanderkul Lake

      Day 15: Alauddin Lake - Iskanderkul Lake

      Today you will hike to the camp to meet our driver who will transfer us to Iskanderkul lake. On the way we will have a lunch in Sarvoda. Afternoon you will be enjoying Iskanderkul lake view and have a short hike to the Iskander waterfall and Snake lake. Afterwards, we continue our journey to Saratog village (12km) where we will overnight at guesthouse.

  • Day 16 Day 16: Iskanderkul - Khujand - Tashkent

      Day 16: Iskanderkul - Khujand - Tashkent

      In the morning you will be transferred to the border where your uzbek driver will be waiting for you to drop off you to your hotel. On the way you can have a visit to Istaravshan and Khujand. Afternoon you will be at the border where your Uzbek driver will be waiting for you to transfer to your hotel in Tashkent.
