If youโ€™re short on edible provides, this dhaba is the last place till Naranag to shop for them. The path follows a moderate ascent for the first three hours, followed by an hour long descent before another gentle ascent leads you to Nichnai. After the primary ten minutes, the path climbs into a lush, green meadow that provides sweeping views of Sonamarg. Another half-hour into the trek, trees of maple and pine spring around, on the far side that the path dips all the way down to a little stream and so moves up once more. Youโ€™re currently treading through a dense Maple forest โ€“ a dreamy expertise thatโ€™s exclusive to Jammu and Kashmir treks. Continue on the path mounting up till the forest finally ends at a ridge, providing you with a fine looking glimpse of the Sonamarg valley.

You currently start descending to a different meadow graced liberally by lovely trees of birch. What comes next could be a lovely blanket of verdure that spans the meadow. There are some small streams here where youโ€™ll be able to refill your water bottles. The right side of the Shekdur meadow is flanked by lofty, covering peaks. Have your lunch below the cover of the Bhoj trees that Shekdur is home to. The path dips gently into a fine looking birch forest, once that it climbs to a river valley.
