Itinerary of your trip 4 Day Bosnia Discovery From Split

  • Day 1 Day 1: ล ฤ‡it + Sarajevo
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Day 1: ล ฤ‡it + Sarajevo

      We start our journey at morning from your hotel or airport or marina and we going toward the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina, old multicultural Sarajevo. On the way, we will pass a lake between mountains with tiny peninsula where is located a Franciscan monastery of 15th century. Light second breakfast can be taken after monastery on the way to Sarajevo, in family restaurant with magnificent river view. Beautiful landscapes all the road to Sarajevo will require to have a good camera. As usual, stop on request to take an image is essential. After arrival to Sarajevo and check in in hotel, guests will have a free time.

  • Day 2 Day 2: Sarajevo

      Day 2: Sarajevo

      After night in Sarajevo, we going to visit 2 fortresses overlooking Sarajevo, Also, we going to take a renovated and just recently opened at 2018 cable car, connecting the old part of the city with the mountain Trebevic. At the end of this day we will have a road to Mostar where we will accommodate and sleep.

  • Day 3 Day 3: Mostar + Kravica Waterfalls + Poฤitelj + Blagaj

      Day 3: Mostar + Kravica Waterfalls + Poฤitelj + Blagaj

      This day will bring us to the local beauty, Kravica waterfalls, with a spectacular view and an amazing natural wonder. The clear river water cascading from walls from a height of 30 m to a natural amphitheater (the lake in the base) 150 m wide, creating spectacular effects. 

      After Kravica waterfalls we head up to old walled town Poฤitelj, evolved in the period from the 16th to the 18th centuries. Architecturally, the stone-constructed parts of the town are a fortified complex, in which two stages of evolution are evident: medieval, and Ottoman. We can have a lunch here in picturesque local restaurant over a river. 

      We continue our discovery of Bosnia and Herzegovina with visit small a village Blagaj where located dervish ottoman monastery (1520). For those who feel good physically, we can climb here to the close located old castle, only walking.

      At the end of this day, we will return to Mostar to have one more night sleep here.

  • Day 4 Day 4: Medjugorje + Omiลก

      Day 4: Medjugorje + Omiลก

      At the last day of our journey we will take short route from Mostar to Medjugorje, unofficial place of Catholic pilgrimage. Since 1981, when six local children said they had seen visions of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Medjugorje has become an unapproved destination of Catholic pilgrimage, but by the end of 2017 was announced that the Vaticanโ€™s position was in favor of Medjugorje. We will visit local cathedral and if you would like we can climbing the Mountain of the Cross. It is one of the main parts of any pilgrimage to Medjugorje. It is a symbolic effort that helps people reconsider their connection with God and the things they need to change in their lives to become closer to Him.

      After Medjugorje we will take a road to old Omis, and walk in his medieval streets. Omis is located in Croatia, just 25km before Split, so after that we will return to Split fast and easy.
