      Today, join us on an optional excursion for both packages: Guided tour of Córdoba and its Mosque-Cathedral. Transfer by coach from Seville to Cordoba. Cordoba's golden era started in the 8th century when it was conquered by the Moors who built about 300 mosques and countless palaces. In the 13th century, under the reign of Fernando III the Saint, the Great Mosque of Cordoba was transformed into a cathedral and new defensive structures were built, namely the Alcazar de los Reyes Cristianos and the Calahorra Tower. After lunch in a restaurant, enjoy a free afternoon in the city. We'll be back on board in Seville.

      Join us this morning for the optional excursions proposed : CLASSIC: Tour of Seville and discovery of the Alcazar and the cathedral. Weโ€™ll leave by coach for Seville. Weโ€™ll start off our visit with the azulejos that adorn the Plaza de Espaรฑa before we move on to the Santa Cruz district. Sheltered behind the former perimeter wall, what used to be the Jewish district belongs to the historic heart of the city and is surrounded by the most famous buildings of the Andalusian capital. Afterwards, weโ€™ll discover the Alcazar, one of the oldest Royal Palaces in Europe. The visit will end with Sevilleโ€™s cathedral, providing one of the last testimonies to the Gothic style. This structure was built over the ruins of an Almohad mosque as a symbol of the capitalโ€™s prosperous status of great commercial town after the Reconquista. DISCOVERY: Guided bike tour of Seville passing the most beautiful monuments of the city and tour of the Alcazar, among the oldest royal palaces in Europe. Retrieval of the bikes at the dock in Seville for a tour around town with your guide. In 2013, Seville was listed as number five in the top 20 bicycle-friendly cities. The city now has over 105 miles of bike paths. During the tour, weโ€™ll stop off to visit the Alcazar, one of the oldest royal palaces in Europe. The tour is approximately 9 miles long. The afternoon will be spent sailing towards Cadiz. Tonight, join us on an optional excursion for both packages : Flamenco evening. Weโ€™ll depart on foot to enjoy a Flamenco evening. Flamenco (cante flamenco) is an art created by the Gypsy and Andalusian peoples based on popular folklore born from the various cultures which flourished throughout the centuries in Spain. Immerse yourself in the most famous Spanish tradition!

      This morning, take part in an optional excursion for both packages : Jerez and visit to a "ganaderรญa". We will depart from El Puerto de Santa Maria for Jerez. During our panoramic tour by coach, you will get to admire the cathedral which was built in the 17th century over the ruins of the old Jerez mosque and the former Salvador Church., as well as the Alcazar which still displays a large amount of features from its early construction. Your tour will continue with a visit to a "ganaderรญa", a property where valiant bulls are raised and trained for corridas. In the afternoon, join us for the optional excursions proposed : CLASSIC: Cรกdiz and its cathedral. Weโ€™ll leave by coach on a panoramic tour of Cรกdiz. Youโ€™ll be able to bathe in the cultural and historic riches of the city, as well as its long stretches of unspoiled beaches. The old center brings together the most characteristic areas of the city, including beautiful baroque churches and elegant mansions, many of which are adorned with faรงades painted in glorious pastel colors and decked out with ironwork balconies. Weโ€™ll visit the cathedral, a magnificent Baroque and Neoclassic building. DISCOVERY: Hike along the oceanfront in Cadiz to the Castle of San Sebastiรกn. Walk along the oceanfront and admire this charming city by the Atlantic Ocean. Take advantage of this walk to enjoy beautiful sights over the city and its typically Spanish architecture. Weโ€™ll stop off for a tasting of local products. Enjoy an evening of entertainment.

      Weโ€™ll cruise along the Guadiana towards Alcoutim. Enjoy time at leisure to discover Alcoutim. Weโ€™ll return on board and depart towards Vila Real de San Antonio. This afternoon, join us on an optional excursion for both packages: Guided tour of Faro, capital city of the Algarve, and Tavira, with its contrasting mixture of former fishing village and middle-class housing. Weยฟll leave by coach from Vila Real de Santo Antรณnio for Faro. Weโ€™ll begin our visit with the cathedral (exteriors only). Originally built as a church in the 13th and 14th centuries, Saint Mary became a cathedral in the 16th century. A few elements still remain from the original church including the bell tower and 2 chapels at the crossing of the transept. After a tour on foot of the old town, weโ€™ll head to Tavira. White walls, Moorish-style doors and roofs are characteristic of this city. This lovely coastal town is crossed by the river Gilรฃo and boasts several beautiful bridges, including "Ponte Romana" with its seven Roman arches. Weโ€™ll return on board in Vila Real de Santo Antรณnio. Enjoy an evening of Fado entertainment on board. Weโ€™ll start cruising in the evening towards El Puerto de Santa Maria. Our ship will cruise through the night.

  • Day 6 Day 6: El Puerto De Santa Maria - Isla Minima - Seville

      Day 6: El Puerto De Santa Maria - Isla Minima - Seville

      Arrival early in the morning. Join us for the optional excursions proposed : CLASSIC: Tour of the Osborne cellar and tasting of local wines*. We'll leave on foot with our hostess for the Osborne Bodega. One of the oldest in the region, this bodega began producing wine in 1772. The iconic Osborne bull silhouette has become part of the landscape in the area. We'll enjoy a tasting of three different wines* along with some regional products. DISCOVERY: Stroll in Sanlucar de Barrameda through the Doñana National Park, one of the largest biosphere reserves in Europe. We'll leave by coach for Sanlúcar (approximately 15.5 miles away). Upon arrival, you'll be greeted by your guide, and you'll set out for a stroll in Doñana National Park, one of the largest protected natural sites in Europe. Here you'll be able to admire the local plant life, including the fragrant pine and eucalyptus trees. Closer to the lagoon, you'll be able to spend some time bird watching. On the return walk, we'll stroll along the river marsh. Enoy a tasting of local products back in El Puerto de Santa Maria. Level of difficulty: easy. This afternoon, we'll cruise to Isla Minima, passing the Doñana National Park, designated by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site and a Biosphere Reserve, and the city of Sanlucar de Barrameda. We'll tour a genuine Andalusian hacienda located on the banks of the Guadalquivir followed by an equestrian show. Afterwards, we'll return on board and start cruising towards Seville. Enjoy an evening of entertainment. Our ship will cruise through the night.

      Join us on a whole-dayโ€™s included excursion for both packages : Visit Granada. You will travel to Granada by coach. Upon arrival, you will begin your tour at the Alhambra, one of the major monuments of Islamic architecture and the most majestic mediaeval fortress in the Mediterranean. The tour continues with a visit to the Generalife, which was the summer residence of the Nasrid Emirs, and its marvelous 14th-century gardens. Transfer to a downtown restaurant for lunch. Aftwerwards, take advantage of a free afternoon to visit the Albayzin district which offers a magnificent view of the Alhambra and the Sierra Nevada. Weโ€™ll return to Seville by coach. Tonightโ€™s our onboard gala dinner and evening.
