      Flight via Santiago de Chile to Punta Arenas. Your transfer driver will welcome you to Patagonia and take you to your hotel. Your tour guide will welcome you warmly in the evening. You will meet your fellow travelers and discuss the upcoming days of your Patagonia trip together. Overnight stay at the hotel.

      In the morning you will visit the main square and the impressive cemetery, considered one of the most beautiful in South America. Alternatively, you have the option of an optional excursion to the Magellanic penguin colony on Isla Magdalena (additional cost: 120 โ‚ฌ, please book with your reservation). Here you will get close to the cute tailcoats up to a few meters. Afterwards you will take a comfortable bus north to Puerto Natales at the fjord Ultima Esperanza. If the visibility is good, you will have your first impressive panorama of the Paine Massif and Mount Balmaceda. Overnight stay in the guesthouse. (Travel time approx. 3h, 250 km).

      In the morning you will travel by private minibus to Torres del Paine National Park. During your drive you will see guanacos, the largest of the Andean camels. You will lace up your hiking boots and start your first trekking tour in the afternoon to Camp Seron not far from Rio Paine. Overnight stay in tent. (Travel time approx. 2h, 130 km). (Walking time approx. 4-5h, 350 mโ†‘โ†“, 9 km).

      You will follow the Rio Paine northward, pass the lake of the same name and walk around the mountain range. You will hike through the seemingly inhospitable and yet so fascinating landscape of the Torres del Paine National Park and learn a lot about its flora and fauna on the way. In the afternoon you will arrive at Lago Dickson, where you will set up camp. Overnight stay in tent. (Walking time approx. 6-7h, 350 mโ†‘โ†“, 19 km).



  • Day 6 O Trek: Lago Dickson - Camp Los Perros 1ร—(B/M (Lb)/A)

      Along the Rio Perros you will pass jungle and rocks until you reach the lagoon of the same name. You will climb the first meters of altitude to the John Gardner Pass, where you will reach the dayโ€™s destination at a beautifully situated lagoon with a view of the Perros Glacier. Overnight stay in tent. (Walking time approx. 4-5h, 400 mโ†‘, 9 km).



  • Day 7 O Trek: Camp Los Perros - Camp Grey 1ร—(B/M (Lb)/A)

      The longest and most strenuous section of the trekking tour takes you along the moraines of the Grey Glacier and past imposing granite peaks. If the weather is good, you will be duly rewarded for the steep ascent to the John Gardner Pass at 1250 m: a fantastic panorama opens up with a spectacular view of the gigantic ice masses of the Grey Glacier. From the pass you descend to flatter terrain. Through a southern beech forest and along the glacier you will reach Camp Grey near the eternal ice in the evening. Overnight stay in tent. (Walking time approx. 8-10h, 750 mโ†‘, 1200 mโ†“, 22 km).



  • Day 8 O Trek: Camp Grey - Camp Paine Grande 1ร—(B/M (Lb)/A)

      In the morning, you can optionally take an approx. 3-hour kayak tour (additional cost: approx. 110 USD, bookable on site) on Lago Grey along the icebergs of the impressive Grey Glacier. Or, optionally, you can join an approx. 4-hour glacier hike on the Grey Glacier (additional cost: approx. 180 USD, bookable on site).

      In the afternoon you will hike further above Lago Grey and along the "Path of the Wind" to Laguna Los Patos. Again and again you will have breathtaking views of the Paine Grande peak in front of you and the Grey glacier behind you. Overnight stay in tent. (Walking time approx. 4h, 350 mโ†‘โ†“, 11 km).



  • Day 9 O Trek: Camp Paine Grande - Camp Torre Central 1ร—(B/M (Lb)/A)

      Todayโ€™s royal stage takes you first past Lago Skottsberg to Campamento Italiano at the foot of the Valley of the French. Then you hike along the rock formations of Los Cuernos to the shore of the turquoise-colored Lago Nordenskjรถld. Continue through the bizarre scenery of this area with numerous magnificent views of ice-covered peaks, glaciers and lakes until you reach Camp Torre Central. Overnight stay in tent. (Walking time approx. 8-9h, 600 mโ†‘โ†“, 24 km).

      Alternatively, you can take a break from hiking today and take a catamaran and shuttle from Camp Paine Grande directly to Camp Torre Central (additional cost: approx. 35 โ‚ฌ, bookable locally).

      The landmark and absolute highlight of the national park awaits you today: the famous Torres peaks. A demanding hiking stage leads you first up to the Ascencio valley, where you can take a rest in a wonderful location at the Refugio Chileno. From here itโ€™s another 2h over a rather steep ascent and finally over a scree field to the lagoon and the rock needles rising steeply into the sky. This unforgettable sight rewards you for all the efforts of the ascent. Afterwards you go back on the same way. You have completed the circumnavigation of the Paine massif, congratulations! A private transfer will take you back to Puerto Natales. Overnight stay at the guesthouse. (Travel time approx. 2h, 130 km). (Walking time approx. 7-8h, 950 mโ†‘โ†“, 19 km).

      You will leave Chile and travel by public bus through the seemingly endless Argentinean pampas to El Calafate. The rest of the day is free to stroll around town or to Lago Argentino. Overnight stay at the hotel. (Travel time approx. 5-6h, 270 km).

      Along Lago Argentino and through the pampas, you will take the public bus to El Chalten on the edge of the Los Glaciares National Park. A hike will take you to Cerro Torre (3102 m). After a short climb you will reach the wide plain of the Rio Fitz Roy and along its bank you will reach Camp De Agostini. From here it is only a "catโ€™s jump". After a last short ascent you have Cerro Torre with the lagoon of the same name in front of you. Afterwards you will return to El Chalten. Overnight stay at the hotel. (Travel time approx. 3,5h, 215 km). (Walking time about 6-7h, 250 mโ†‘โ†“, 22 km).

      Today you have the day at leisure in El Chalten to explore the idyllic mountain village a little closer and to take short hikes to the viewpoints "Condores y Aguilas" or to the waterfall "Chorillo del Salto". You also have the option of a day hike to the "Loma del Plieque Tumbado" or an excursion to Lago del Desierto and the Huemul Glacier (additional cost: approx. 60 โ‚ฌ, bookable locally). Overnight stay as on the previous day.

      Through beautiful southern beech forests and past the glacier Piedras Blancas you reach Camp Poincenot. Over a moraine it goes quite steeply uphill, before you have the impressive panorama of the Laguna de los Tres and the longing mountain Fitz Roy (3405 m) in front of you. The ice wall of the glacier De Los Tres builds up enormously. If you want, you can make the short walk from here to Laguna Sucia. Return to El Chalten. Overnight stay as on the previous day. (Hiking time about 7-8h, 750 mโ†‘โ†“, 21 km).

      Early in the morning you will drive back to El Calafate, where you will arrive around noon. In the afternoon you will start for an excursion to the mighty Perito Moreno Glacier. With a little luck, you will experience the spectacular calving of the glacier up close. You will also take part in an approximately one-hour boat trip on Lago Argentino along the impressive glacier front. Return to El Calafate. In the evening you will say goodbye to your guide, who has accompanied you on your hikes through Patagonia. Overnight stay at the hotel. (Travel time approx. 6h, 370 km).
