Logistics PHYSICAL CONDITION: This tour involves a decent amount of hiking. Thus, travelers should have moderate physical fitness conditions. ACTIVITIES: Participation in all activities is optional - just be sure to be on time for daily departures. AGE: Due to the required physical condition, the recommended age of participants in this tour is 12-69 years. However, potential participants outside of the above-mentioned age group can still participate upon request if (1) they are in good physical condition (2) that will allow them to cope with the pace of the group tour. WHAT TO TAKE WITH YOU: Comfortable clothes & shoes; swimming suit & slippers; a smaller backpack for daily tours; hat/cap, sunglasses & sunscreen; travel insurance; good mood & curiosity. VISA: For the entry of citizens of Guatemala, Honduras and Nicaragua they can present their Identity Document or valid passport in good conditions. Citizens of any other country must present their valid passport in good condition. In addition, they must verify in the list of visas required for the entry of foreigners (see list here:https://www.migracion.gob.sv/servicios/listado-visa/) if their country requires a visa to enter El Salvador. OTHER NOTES: The price of the tour/person depends on the number of travelers & room option you choose. 7x breakfasts included. FOOD : Meals and Gastronomic Experiences included in this tour can normally meet most of the common dietary restrictions. However, due to the active program of the tour and different menus in each place, satisfying a special diet or food preferences of a particular traveler will depend on circumstances and cannot be fully guaranteed.

ACCOMMODATIONS : An exact list of accommodations is sent together with trip notes 2 weeks before the departure date. Most of the accommodations are centrally located, tourist-class, locally-owned properties with private facilities in each room (unless specified in the itinerary). We can arrange pre- and post-tour accommodations but not earlier than 2 weeks before the departure when we send you final trip notes. Post-COVID health & safety Understanding continuously present risks associated with COVID-19 pandemics and willing to keep both travelers & our team healthy, Vibe Adventures introduced internal health & safety guidelines that are enforced on all our tours until such measures are lifted by authorities of each destination and/or pandemic situation gets completely resolved worldwide. Those guidelines are based on official recommendations & protocols from the World Health Organization (WHO) and the World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC) and among others include the following measures: Education & Training: โ— regular training & education of the staff (Tour Leaders, drivers, crew) and suppliers (accomodations, restaurants, experience providers, etc.) on the importance of COVID-related health & safety measures; โ— promotion of the importance of hand hygiene & other COVID-related health & safety measures to travelers through signage, oral instructions and online materials; โ— contracting only suppliers that responsibly implement COVID-related health & safety protocols recommended by the World Health Organization (WHO) and local authorities. Hand Hygiene: โ— mandatory application of antibacterial gel (70% alcohol) by everyone entering the vehicle that is used for transportation during the tour; โ— implementing mandatory hand-hygiene policy that requires regular scheduled use of hand sanitizer and washing hands with soap by the staff during the tour, especially after touching objects in public areas (e.g. handrails, doors, money, mobile phones, etc.). Masks: โ— mandatory use of a face masks or other protecting items (e.g. scarfs, kerchiefs or bandanas) covering nose, chin & mouth by both travelers & staff in all public areas (especially in confined environments such as public transport, shops, markets, museums, lobbies of hotels etc.); โ— the use of the mask is not mandatory in private areas (e.g. hotel rooms) and while having meals & drinks.       Welcome to San Salvador - a handsome Central American capital surrounded by green-tipped volcanoes, pleasant leafy suburbs, and filled with outstanding galleries and museums. Arrive at any time and take a taxi/shuttle bus to your accommodation. Once there, take your time to rest or explore the city. In the evening, meet your Tour Leader and the rest of the group for a welcome meeting followed by an optional dinner in one of the local restaurants.

      Day 2: San Salvador - Suchitoto

      Start your day with a walking tour of the Historic Center of El Salvadorโ€™s capital and a guided visit to the National Anthropology Museum. Then, move to the beautiful town of Suchitoto. Architecture buffs will surely love its colonial buildings, while outdoor types can choose between numerous hikes to waterfalls, caves, and beautiful Suchitlรกn Lake. Suchitoto is also a bird migration zone with over 200 species. Thousands of hawks and falcons fill the skies as the seasons change and birds of all sorts nest in the relative safety of the lake islands. After arrival and seeing the impressive basaltic prisms of nearby Cascada Los Tercios, visit a charming Alejandro Coto House Museum and take a walking tour of the Historic Center of the town. In the evening, join an optional dinner and get-together with your group in one of the local restaurants.

Situated at the beginning of the Ruta de las Flores, itโ€™s a prosperous, small provincial capital that supplies 15% of the countryโ€™s electrical power thanks to the wonders of geothermal energy. Finally, relax in one of Ahuachapanโ€™s thermal springs and explore its vibrant streets before an optional dinner and get-together with your group in one of the local restaurants in the evening.

Traveling by private vehicle, visit its brightly colored colonial towns, hike to impressive waterfalls, and see one of the countryโ€™s first coffee plantations. Finally, after a full day of exploration and discoveries, rest at your accommodation in Cerro Verde National Park and enjoy imposing views of the nearby Santa Ana Volcano.

      First, in the morning, take a 3-hour intermediate-level hike to enjoy the sunrise from the crater of Santa Ana Volcano. Then, go to discover El Zonte and El Tunco - small villages on the Pacific whose beautiful black-sand beaches are considered one of the best in the world for surfing. Once hidden gems known only amongst Salvadorans, now they are some of the most popular surfing destinations in El Salvador and especially appeal to international visitors. Afterward, move to our final destination, La Libertad, a quieter beach town with windswept sandy beaches and a more authentic Central American experience.

In the evening, opt to experience local party vibes or join locals down from El Salvador at one of the local bars.
