In the distance you can already see the mountains that you will hike past in the next few days. Take a leisurely stroll down to Salzburg, where you will find magnificent churches, beautiful alleys and squares and, best of all, fortify yourself with a portion of Salzburg dumplings. We recommend a detour to the Maria Plain pilgrimage church, which towers high above Salzburg.

      Salzburg โ€“ Bad Reichenhall

Your hike leads out of the city towards Untersberg. At Marzoll Castle you cross the border to the Bavarian Rupertiwinkl before you come to the salt metropolis of Bad Reichenhall, which is well worth seeing. There you can relax in the warm brine water of the thermal baths, visit the spa park and visit the old salt works.

      Bad Reichenhall โ€“ Unken

Today you follow the Saalach back into Salzburger Land. You hike past Lake Saalachsee and deeper into the mountains. Your path partly runs directly on the banks of the Saalach, which flows romantically through the rocks.
