      Day 1: Cape Town - Winelands

      Check-in at Rovos Rail station, 1 Adderley Street, Cape Town, from 2 pm. The train leaves Cape Town at around 4 pm. You will travel inland through the Winelands and enjoy afternoon tea in the cozy lounge and observation car. In the evening, dinner is served on the train. Approx. 300 km (dinner)

  • Day 2 Day 2: Winelands - Matjiesfontein - Karoo
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Day 2: Winelands - Matjiesfontein - Karoo

      Breakfast is served on the train. You arrive in Matjiesfontein at around 8 am and explore the historic town center. The train then travels through the Karoo semi-desert. Lunch, afternoon tea and dinner on board the train. Approx. 500 km (breakfast, lunch, dinner)

  • Day 3 Day 3: Karoo - Kimberley - Klerksdorp
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Day 3: Karoo - Kimberley - Klerksdorp

      After breakfast, at around 8:30 am, your tour of Kimberley starts with the former diamond mine. You will visit the town, the Diamond Mining Museum and the "Big Hole", an open-cast mining pit. At around 12 noon, enjoy lunch on the train as you travel towards Klerksdorp. Approx. 550 km (breakfast, lunch, dinner)

  • Day 4 Day 4: Klerksdorp - Pretoria
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Day 4: Klerksdorp - Pretoria

      Enjoy your last breakfast on board in style as the train travels through the north-east of the Goldfields from Witwatersrand to Pretoria. Arrive at Rovos Railโ€™s Capital Park station at around 10 am. End of the train journey. Approx. 240 km (breakfast)
