Where does the experience start? Will you pick me up at the airport or hotel?

The experience begins in Quito. On your arrival a tour representative will pick you up at the airport. You must send the information of your arrival and departure flights (within the internal chat in your session) at least 30 days before your arrival and confirm that your guide has received it.

Are there any medical or vaccination requirements?

Currently there are no mandatory vaccinations for visiting Ecuador. It is recommended that you consult your local doctor and find out the official information before you travel. In addition, it is highly recommended to have the vaccine against yellow fever. It is obligatory to present a PCR test with a negative result at least 10 days before entering the country. If you do not present the test, it must be done at the airport and quarantined until a negative result is obtained.

What happens if I get sick or injured during the trip and I can't go on?

It is always important to have travel insurance. Any situation first is to warn your guide, depending on the case the necessary assistance will be given and even if it is required to finish the experience.

What currency do you recommend I bring? Where can I change?

Accepted Answer

The currency used in  Ecuador is the Dollar  ($, USD). We recommend that you change into your local currency before arriving in the country or at the airport. Some commercial establishments accept international credit and debit cards. Smaller towns may not have ATMs, so it is recommended that you carry some cash on hand.

Does not include international flights, travel insurance, meals not mentioned in the itinerary, drinks, tips, other personal expenses. We recommend that you bring about $70 USD for general expenses.

Depending on the day, once the scheduled activities are over, you will generally be able to enjoy free time to relax and take pictures. This time will be announced by the guide at the beginning of your experience.

After the programmed activities you can optionally take different activities. 
In Archidona you can walk through the forest, visit the Inchillaqui River, rest in a hammock, enjoy the enormous swimming pool, learn about chocolate (extra cost) and more. 
In Quito, visit the monument to the middle of the world, the cable car, the San Francisco church, the historical center, the cathedral and more (activities and visits not included).

Meal options can vary from $10 to $20 USD. We recommend bringing a total of approximately $60 USD for the entire experience.

This experience includes planned accommodation in Quito: Mercure Hotel (03 stars) or similar - shared double room. Archidona: Hakuna Matata Amazon Lodge (03 stars) or similar - Shared double room. NOTE: The hotels are subject to change without previous notice at your arrival to the destination, you can ask for more information or confirmation through the Chat directly to your guide 1 week before your arrival.

The minimum recommended age for this adventure is 10 years old. Minors must always be accompanied by an adult.
