      Visit to Quitoโ€™s historic center, a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Site. 

      Visit of the Equator line Monument and the Ethno-Scientific Inti Nan Museum. Lunch is included.

      Or opcional: Authentical Cooking Class in Old Town, visit a local typical market, purchase ingredients, cooking class with Ecuadorian English speaking Chef and lunch (supplement USD 30 per person).

      Drive to the beautiful Andean region of Otavalo, famous for its volcanoes, lakes and Indigenous culture. Visit of one of the most famous Indigenous market of South America in Otavalo, that exhibits the largest Ecuadorian variety of textiles and handicrafts. Then tour of the Artisan villages of Peguche and Cotacachi and possible stop at San Pablo Lake and/or Cuicocha Lake. Overnight stay in Quito.

      Drive along the Avenue of Volcanoes to Cotopaxi Volcano. Visit of Cotopaxi National Park with possible walk around Limpiopungo lagoon or hiking up to the refuge. Short drive to the spectacular crater Quilotoa lagoon. If possible in the way, this day or the following day, visit of an Indigenous market Pujili or Saquisili or Zumbagua. Meeting with the local Indigenous painters and craftsmen. Dinner and overnight in a 2*/3* charming country inn red bathroom or in a 3* hacienda or mountain inn.

      Possible hike around the crater or descent to the edge of Quilotoa. Drive up to the attractive town of Baรฑos, famous for its hot springs and its location at the base of Tungurahua Volcano. Possible thermal bath. Overnight stay in Baรฑos in a charming 2*/3* hotel.



  • Day 6 Day 6: Banos ~ Road Of Waterfalls ~ Tropical Botanic Farm ~ Amazon Forest

      Transfer to Rio Verde hamlet via ``Road of Waterfallsโ€. Walk to the impressive waterfall ``Pailon del Diablo``. Vegetarian lunch at botanical farm and tour of its tropical plantations. Drive to the Amazon forest, to the region of Tena city and Napo River, a tributary of the Amazon. Transfer by canoe to an Eco Lodge, in the heart of the forest. Possible meeting of a family of monkeys. Relax time, possible bath in the river. Dinner and overnight in the lodge.

      Walking discovery of the Amazon forest with a native Kichwa guide. Possible watching of monkeys, birds, giant trees, medicinal plants, insects. Visit of a refuge of semi-wild animals or another activity. Lunch at the lodge. Transfer by canoe to the lands of a Kichwa family. Presentation of their horticultural products, their weapons and demonstration of their traditional drink: ``Chicha``. Dinner and overnight in the lodge.

      Drive back up to the Andes viewing tropical and Andean landscapes on the way. Arrive in Riobamba at the foot of the highest Ecuadorian volcano: Chimborazo (20,702 ft). Panoramic tour of the old city. Overnight at a 2/3-star hotel. 

      Or optional:  dinner and overnight in a panoramic mountain inn located just at the foot of Chimborazo Volcano and frequented by llamas (supplement USD 60 per person).

      Transfer to Alausi train station and take a train ride through the famous Devilโ€™s Nose up to Sibambe and welcome by the local Puruhae Indigenous. Back to Alausรญ and drive to the beautiful city of Cuenca. On the way, visit of the Inca and Canari ruins of Ingapirca. 

      Overnight in Cuenca at a charming 2*/3* hotel.

  • Day 10 Day 10: Cuenca World Heritage ~ Coast: Guayaquil ~ Flight Back Home

      Day 10: Cuenca World Heritage ~ Coast: Guayaquil ~ Flight Back Home

      Visit of Cuencaโ€™s historic center, a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Site and visit of a Panama hat factory. Then drive to the coastal region, up to the economic capital and  the largest city of the country: Guayaquil, crossing by the national park of Cajas Lakes and beautiful tropical landscapes of rice fields, palm, banana plantations... If possible, scenic city tour and walk along the Malecon 2000 up to the old district of Las Peรฑas. Transfer to the airport and flight back home (or the following day).
