  • Day 1 Day 1: Punta Cana

      Day 1: Punta Cana

      Arrive at Punta Canaโ€™s airport where you will pick up your rental car (with full insurance incl. zero deductible) which has been reserved for you by DOMINICAN EXPERT. From the airport it is just a short hop to your hotel. You can enjoy the rest of the evening in Punta Cana, one of the most famous and most visited tourist spots in the country.

  • Day 2 Day 2: Santo Domingo

      Day 2: Santo Domingo

      Depart from your hotel to Higuey where you can visit the Basรญlica Nuestra Seรฑora de la Altagracia, a Roman Catholic Cathedral. After lunch the journey continues to Santo Domingo the capital of the Dominican Republic. Your hotel is located in the heart of the Colonial Zone of Santo Domingo. In the afternoon, during a two-hour guided walking tour through the "Zona Colonial", you will follow the footsteps of Columbus and visit (among other things) the oldest cathedral in the New World, castles, ruins and the residence of Columbusโ€™s son, Don Diego. A visit to a small cigar factory is also included. In the evening you can enjoy exploring the Colonial town with its multiple bars, restaurants and souvenir shopping opportunities.

  • Day 3 Day 3: Jarabacoa

      Day 3: Jarabacoa

      In the morning, we will welcome you in our office in the Zona Colonial to give you a personal welcome briefing with a fresh tropical drink and all information about your personalized trip. Your travel consultant will take all the time you need to answer all your questions. Afterwards you will start well prepared into your adventure. You will first drive into the heartland of the country, passing cocoa, rice, banana and coffee plantations. On a well-developed mountain road you reach the Rancho Baiguate in Jarabacoa, the city of eternal spring, snuggled at the base of the mountains surrounded by majestic beauty. The rest of the day is at your free disposal where you have time to explore the area of Jarabacoa or relax on the premises of the Rancho Baiguate. In the evening a typical Dominican dinner is waiting for you.

  • Day 4 Day 4: Cabarete
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Day 4: Cabarete

      After breakfast, you can choose one from the following four activities: โ€ข Canyoning in the "Rรญo Baiguate" โ€ข River rafting on the river "Rรญo Yaque del Norte" โ€ข Horseback ride or mountain bike to the Baiguate Waterfalls. In the afternoon the journey continues to the popular tourist town of Sosรบa. The small luxurious boutique hotel Casa 22 is welcoming you with a cocktail in a relaxed atmosphere. On the way to Sosua you can also stop in Puerto Plata, an important town with some great tourist attractions, such as the cable car to the Montaรฑa Isabel de Torres, a significant rum distillery or the fortress San Felipe in the old town of Puerto Plata. In the evening you can have dinner by the pool at the hotel or go out and enjoy the busy nightlife of Sosรบa.

  • Day 5 Day 5: Las Terrenas
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Day 5: Las Terrenas

      After breakfast you will head towards Las Terrenas located on the Samanรก peninsula. Las Terrenas is a vibrant fishing town, known for its wonderful beaches and its numerous shops, restaurants and bars. During the drive you will pass unspoiled natural landscapes, cross numerous rivers, see many rice fields and eventually drive along the rugged north coast. In the afternoon you will check in your hotel which is located right on the beach โ€œPlaya Bonitaโ€.

  • Day 6 Day 6: Las Terrenas
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Day 6: Las Terrenas

      In the morning you will either drive to Santa Barbara de Samanรก or to El Limon. In Santa Barbara de Samanรก you have the chance, during the mating season from the beginning of January until mid-March, to see humpback whales splash in the warm water of the Samanรก bay. You will go on a boat excursion to see these giant marine mammals in their natural environment. If not traveling during whale season or upon request, we offer a horseback ride to the spectacular waterfall "El Limรณn". This excursion starts right behind the small town of El Limon. The waterfall is 50 meters (164 feet) high and therefore the highest one on the Samanรก peninsula. After visiting the waterfall you will enjoy a hearty Dominican lunch in a nearby ranch. In the Evening you will have enough time to discover the vibrant city of Las Terrenas.

      Day 7: Las Terrenas

      After breakfast, you will have plenty of time to explore the surrounding area. You can spend the day in Las Terrenas or head towards Las Galeras, where you will find several beautiful beaches like Playa Rincon or Playa Fronton. On the way you can find some local stand, where you can enjoy a fresh coconut for little money. For lunch we recommend you to try some fresh fish prepared with coconut milk, the specialty of the region!

  • Day 8 Day 8: Punta Cana

      Day 8: Punta Cana
