Meals

7x breakfasts are included. FOOD : Meals and Gastronomic Experiences included in this tour can normally meet most of the common dietary restrictions. However, due to the active program of the tour and different menus in each place, satisfying a special diet or food preferences of a particular traveler will depend on circumstances and cannot be fully guaranteed.

Transport

Transportation in a private vehicle throughout the tour is included. The vehicle type depends on the group size and may include a car, 7-seater, or minivan.

Logistics DEPARTURE : We will leave our accommodation in Puerto Escondido on Day 2 around 9 am. ARRIVAL : We will arrive at our accommodation in Mexico City on Day 7 around 2 pm. ACTIVITIES : Participation in all activities is optional - just be sure to be in time for departures. Both walking tours (>2h, normally in historic centers of bigger cities) and orientation walks ( ยญ Notes PHYSICAL CONDITION : This tour involves a decent amount of hiking & walking. Therefore, travelers should have at least moderate physical fitness condition. WHAT TO TAKE WITH YOU : Comfortable clothes & (preferably hiking) shoes; swimming suit & slippers; a smaller backpack for daily tours; hat/cap, sunglasses & sunscreen; travel insurance; good mood & curiosity. PRICING : The price of the tour/person depends on the number of travelers & room option you choose.

7x nights in conveniently located, locally-owned hotels/B&Bs are included. ACCOMMODATIONS : An exact list of accommodations is sent together with trip notes 2 weeks before the departure date. Most of the accommodations are centrally located, tourist-class, locally-owned properties with private facilities in each room (unless specified in the itinerary). We can arrange pre- and post-tour accommodations but not earlier than 2 weeks before the departure when we send you final trip notes. Post-COVID health & safety Understanding continuously present risks associated with COVID-19 pandemics and willing to keep both travelers & our team healthy, Vibe Adventures introduced internal health & safety guidelines that are enforced on all our tours until such measures are lifted by authorities of each destination and/or pandemic situation gets completely resolved worldwide. Those guidelines are based on official recommendations & protocols from the World Health Organization (WHO) and the World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC) and among others include the following measures: Education & Training: โ— regular training & education of the staff (Tour Leaders, drivers, crew) and suppliers (accomodations, restaurants, experience providers, etc.) on the importance of COVID-related health & safety measures; โ— promotion of the importance of hand hygiene & other COVID-related health & safety measures to travelers through signage, oral instructions and online materials; โ— contracting only suppliers that responsibly implement COVID-related health & safety protocols recommended by the World Health Organization (WHO) and local authorities. Masks : โ— mandatory use of a face masks or other protecting items (e.g. scarfs, kerchiefs or bandanas) covering nose, chin & mouth by both travelers & staff in all public areas (especially in confined environments such as public transport, shops, markets, museums, lobbies of hotels etc.); โ— the use of the mask is not mandatory in private areas (e.g. hotel rooms) and while having meals & drinks. Sanitation: โ— mandatory daily sanitation of the vehicles used for transportation of travellers by the staff especially of handles, doors, seats, and other frequently-touched surfaces; โ— use of cleaning and disinfecting products that are approved by local & international health authorities; โ— regular audit of our suppliers on their cleanliness & sanitation protocols. Physical distancing: โ— mandatory social distance of at least 1.5 m (~5 feet) by both travelers & staff throughout the tour.       Day 1: Puerto Escondido

      Bienvenidos a Puerto Escondido - a port town and resort on the Mexican Pacific coast thatโ€™s known for its numerous beaches and buzzing nightlife. Arrive at any time (you can also book an extra night and arrive some days before) before meeting your group and Tour Leader in the lobby of your accommodation at 2 pm. After a brief informational welcome meeting, join your group and go for an optional lunch and orientation walk in Puerto Escondidoโ€™s center. Thereafter, see the sunset and liberate little turtles on the nearby beach. Optional dinner and get-together with the group in one of the local bars in the evening.

      Day 2: Puerto Escondido - Mazunte - La Crucecita

      After breakfast, check out and go for a mangrove boat tour. Then, continue to Mazunte - a "Magical Town" famous for its strong surf, beautiful beaches, and Mexican Turtle Center. Once there, enjoy sweeping views of the ocean and (if you are lucky and itโ€™s the correct season) migrating whales on a local peninsula. Then, go for an orientation walk and optional lunch in the center of the town. Once ready, transfer to Bahia de Cacaluta - a virgin golden-sand beach in Huatulco National Park accessible by a 30-minute walk through the forest. This is a great spot for snorkeling, swimming, and enjoying untouched nature. After spending several hours on the beach, see the sunset from a local lighthouse. Transfer to our accommodation in La Crucecita, check-in, optional dinner, and get-together with the group in one of the local restaurants.

      After breakfast and checkout, go for a coffee tour of one of the farms around Pluma Hidalgo. This little mountainous village is one of the most idoneous places in Mexico for the cultivation of coffee. As a matter of fact, the local Pluma Gourmet type is one of the most prestigious in the country. Then, after an orientation walk, lunch, and a cup of delicious coffee in Pluma Hidalgo, head to San Jose del Pacifico. Located in the southern Sierra of Oaxaca, this town at 2,500 meters above sea level literally touches the sky. Once there, have an orientation walk of the town and see a beautiful sunset from our accommodation. Optional dinner and get-together with the group in one of the local restaurants in the evening.

      After breakfast and check-out, continue our Puerto Escondido tour visiting a family mezcal distillery in Santo Tomรกs Tamazulapan. Then, head to San Martรญn Tilcajete - a little town known for its colorful fantastical creatures hand-carved by local artisans. After visiting some of the local workshops and orientation walk of the town, transfer to Zaachila - a small town that became the last Zapotec capital after the fall of Monte รlban. There, we will visit a still largely unexplored local archaeological site and local market where we will try some of the most exquisite regional specialties.

      Then, we will transfer to Oaxaca City with a visit to a unique (it has no roof!) Ex-Convent of Guerrero Cuilapam on our way. Once in Oaxaca City, join your Tour Leader for an introductory walking tour of its Historic Center visiting its main attractions. Check-in, optional dinner, and get-together with the group in one of the local restaurants.

      Firstly, go to visit an impressive Ex-Convento de San Juan Bautista Coixtlahuaca. Then, head to San Juan Raya - a little village in the middle of Tehuacรกn-Cuicatlรกn Biosphere Reserve. There, accompanied by a local community guide, we will visit a place with impressive vegetation and dozens of dinosaur steps that are millions of years old. After a tour, transfer to Puebla with an optional stop at a unique local restaurant with delicious regional cuisine. Check-in, an orientation walk of the Historic Center of Puebla, optional dinner, and a get-together with the group in one of the local restaurants.
