      Arrive at Thursday Island in the Torres Strait. Board a coach for a tour, which includes a visit to Green Hill Fort. In the underground tunnels, visit the Torres Strait Museum. Continue to the Gab Titui Cultural Centre and be immersed in Torres Strait myths and legends through local art. Back on board, head to Cape York where, weather permitting, you’ll land on the northernmost tip of Australia.

      Skirting the Cape York Peninsula, arrive at Piper Islands National Park. Board a Zodiac and explore the coastline, eyes trained to the skies in search for black noddy and beach-stone curlews. Your Zodiac delivers you to shore, where you will set out for a nature walk. These shores are also an important hawksbill and green turtle nesting area.

      Drop anchor in Bathurst Bay this morning. Board a Zodiac to Cape Melville National Park, one of the country’s most remote national parks. Go in search of Godmans rock wallaby, endemic lizards and red-tailed black cockatoo. This afternoon, perhaps swim or snorkel in one of the nearby reefs.
