The departure is from the sea coast to the Skadar lake and Zeta Plain, along the winding way through the fascinating canyon of the Moracha river which will raise your adrenaline and give you delight. Youโ€™ll visit the Moracha monastery. It is one of the most famous historical and cultural monuments of Montenegro, which was built by Nemanyich in 1252. The Tara river canyon is one of the most beautiful canyons in the world, with its length of 82 km, in some places it is 1300 m deep, it is the second largest canyon in the world after the Colorado canyon. The canyon is not only the beauty of Montenegro, but also a natural pearl of planetary importance, so it was included in the UNESCO world heritage list. The Jurjevicha Tara bridge is one of the most visited destinations in Montenegro and one of several largest and most beautiful bridges in the world. The National Park Durmitor is the second in our trip. It is in the list of the world natural and cultural heritage of UNESCO since 1980. OSTROG MONASTERY - PODGORICA - ล IPฤŒANIK WINE CELLAR In the harsh, rocky environment of the Ostroลกka Greda rock, between Danilovgrad and Nikลกiฤ‡, high above the Bjelopavliฤ‡ plain and the Zeta River, shines Ostrog Monastery. Even though the foundation of this monastery was laid by hermits, its true founder is considered to be Saint Basil of Ostrog (Vasilije Jovanoviฤ‡), Bishop of Zahumlje and Herzegovina, who in the second half of the 17th century arrived here from Tvrdoลก Monastery (Trebinje). The monastery complex includes the lower and upper monasteries. The position of the upper monastery is impressive, with two churches in caves, constructed inside the steep rock: one was constructed in 1665 and painted in 1667, whereas the other (the date of its construction is not known), which has also been painted, is home to the relics of Saint Basil. Saint Basil was a big ascetic, healer and thaumaturgist, unfaltering protector and defender of his people, who never broke his oath. The belief in the wonderous power of his relics made this place one of the most visited sanctuaries not only in Montenegro and the region, but in Europe. Members of all confessions come here for a cure for their souls, as do pilgrims from all over the world. That is why Ostrog Monastery is one of the most frequented sanctuaries in the Balkans... Visit to Podgorica - the capital of Montenegro. Podgorica is the administrative, economic and cultural center of Montenegro. It lies on the five rivers Zeta, Moraci, Ribnica, Cijevni and Sitnica. Construction of the temple began in 1993 and lasted for 20 years. The temple is dominated by two pirgs โ€“ towers, that are 26.7 meters high, and 17 bells are situated in its loft.
