      You will take a ferry to the car-free Rottnest Island. You will explore the diverse flora and fauna as well as the dream beaches of the nature reserve by bike. Maybe you will be lucky and see quokkas - short-tailed kangaroos that only live in Western Australia! Also keep your eyes open during the ferry ride: Sometimes fur seals or even whales show up!       You pack a small travel bag for your two-day excursion to the highlights of the island. Kangaroo Island is home to koalas, wallabies and cockatoos, among others. Youโ€™ll hike along the beach to a sea lion colony, observing them from a safe distance.
