Founded by Greek colonists in 581 AD, Agrigento is a history-packed town on the southern coast of Sicily, and is home to one of the islandโ€™s major attractions: the Valley of the Temples. This vast archeological site includes some of the the finest and best-preserved Greek remnants in the world. Day 5: Explore Modica, Noto And Ragusa - The Baroque Sicily

After the breakfast you can explore Modica, Noto and Ragusa. Sicily is a treasure trove of Baroque jewels like Noto, a city of extraordinary beauty. After being devastated by an earthquake in 1693, it was rebuilt in the style that earned it Unesco World Heritage status. A walk in the town centre will take you to beautiful honey-gold palaces glowing in the sun, and stunning buildings like the Church of Santa Chiara, the majestic Cathedral and Palazzo Ducezio, home to the local town hall. You can also visit Modica, a Baroque jewel that attracts sweet-toothed visitors with its famous chocolate shops and patisseries. The town is renowned for producing excellent chocolate and explore Modicaโ€™s landmarks, including the theatrical Cathedral of San Giorgio. Ragusa is a town of two faces. Sitting on the top of the hill is Ragusa Superiore, a busy workaday town with sensible grid-pattern streets and all the trappings of a modern provincial capital, while etched into the hillside further down is Ragusa Ibla. This sloping area of tangled alleyways, grey stone houses and baroque palazzi on handsome squares is effectively Ragusa's historic centre and itโ€™s quite magnificent.

Day 6: Siracusa - Mount Etna - Aetna - Island Of Ortigia - Taormina

After the breakfast we move to Taormina. We suggest you to stop in Siracusa and reach the top of Mount Etna. Defined by Cicero as โ€œthe most beautiful city in Magna Graeciaโ€, Siracusa is an elegant town where the ancient Greek grandeur is still very much alive and historic jewels abound at every corner. You can stroll through the island of Ortigia, the soul of the city, connected to the mainland via two bridges. Streets are lined with honey-colored palaces and lead to the magnificent Cathedral Square, where light reflects off the bright stone facades of churches and palaces creating a dazzling effect. Drive to Aetna. Climbing to the top, we can roam its changing topographies: from a fruitful countryside of sweet citrus groves to thick forests to bare terrain where the perfume of the broom shrub reigns, and, finally, the lunar atmosphere lying closer to the crater. From higher altitudes, it is even possible to see Malta on a clear day.

Day 7: Explore Taormina & Mediterranean Pearl - The Nearby Villages

Spend the day visiting Taormina and the nearby villages. Taormina & the Mediterranean Pearl, is sited on a natural terrace sheer above the sea. One cannot but remain absolutely charmed by the immense beauty of this place, the same sensation experienced by Johann Wolfgang Goethe during a visit to the 3rd-Century A.D. Greek Theatre, the symbol of the city. Standing among cypresses and prickly pears, its caves dug into the rock, Taorminaโ€™s Hellenistic Theatre was transformed into an arena by the Romans. It offers a spectacular view onto the turquoise sea that runs all the way to the Calabrian coast in the northeast, to Syracuse in the south, and to the smoking peak of Mt. Etna in the west.
