All guests travelling with Contiki through December 31, 2022 are required to be fully vaccinated against Covid-19, which may include a booster shot to keep the vaccination status current and valid, depending on the travel destination.   • Day 1 Day 1: Opatija To Krk

      Welcome to Opatija! After meeting and greeting our Contiki crewmates at the beautiful harbour this morning weโ€™re headed on our boat to Krk Island. Weโ€™ll enjoy lunch onboard as we cruise towards Krk, the largest of the Kvarner islands with immense variety of villages, gentle green promenades, bare rocky wilderness, tiny isles and hundreds of hidden bays and beaches. Weโ€™ll stroll through the old city centre and admire the huge cathedral complex, before settling in for the night.

      Day 2: Krk To Rab

      This morning weโ€™re hopping on our bikes for the first time, taking a cycling tour through the lush Mediterranean vegetation, olive groves and dry-stone walls to the biggest field on the island - Vrbnik field, which produces an iconic golden-yellow wine - the ลฝlahtina. A rest is well-earned, so weโ€™ll kick back for a while and have the chance to taste some wine, cheese and prosciutto. Feeling refuelled and refreshed, weโ€™ll journey onto Punat Valley, with spectacular views of the island of Koลกljun. Back in Krk weโ€™re headed to Rab Island - known as the โ€™island of love.โ€™ As the evening draws in weโ€™ll find out why, falling head over heels with the romantic harbour, medieval walls, Romanesque church towers and ancient facades.       After breakfast in the shadow of some beautiful church towers, weโ€™re headed on a hiking tour to the highest point of the island - Kamenjak hill and Straลพa peak (409 m) to enjoy the stunning views of the Velebit mountain to the east and Kvarner Bay on the west. Falling in love with every inch, weโ€™ll then make our descent to the ship for lunch. After refuelling itโ€™s time to hop on our bikes again to tour the greenest part of the island - a thickened area called Dundo. Feeling the heat?   • Day 4 Day 4: Rab To Ilovik

      Day 4: Rab To Ilovik

      Today weโ€™re sailing to the neighboring island of Pag. Weโ€™ll take a bike tour from the small fishing village of Tovarnele to Novalja. Winding through ancient olive trees and even more ancient stone walls weโ€™ll do our best to avoid the many wandering sheep. This place is world-famous for its cheese so itโ€™s a good idea to get stuck in along the way. Upon arrival in Novalja, we continue our cruise to the island of flowers - Ilovik.   • Day 5 Day 5: Ilovik To Losinj Island

      After breakfast this morning weโ€™re headed for Mali Loลกinj, before hiking to the Sveti Ivan (250 m) hill where you can enjoy a gorgeous view of the Loลกinj archipelago. After kicking back and soaking up the scenery, weโ€™ll descend towards Veli Loลกinj, a picturesque village with coloured houses and gardens. After heading back to the ship for lunch, weโ€™ve got a laid back bike tour this afternoon as we journey through bays surrounded by pine trees on the dreamy ฤŒikat peninsula. Tonight weโ€™ll visit the famous waterfront of Mali Loลกinj with its famous waterfront and opt to visit the Museum of Apoxyomenos - the bronze statue of a young athlete.       Day 6: Losinj Island To Cres

      Today weโ€™re headed on our bikes to the small villages of ฤ†unski and Nerezine below the dominant peak of Loลกinj - Osorลกฤ‡ica. Then weโ€™ll continue onto the ancient old town of Osor. In Roman times, Osor was an important centre of trade and a vital route to the ports of the Northern Adriatic. Bike: 22 kmDifficulty: 2/5 Then weโ€™ll head to Cres with some free time to explore this wild, sparsely populated island, enjoying the hidden coves, ancient towns and one unforgettable sunset.Bike: 22 kmDifficulty: 2/5

  • Day 7 Day 7: Cres To Opatija

      Day 7: Cres To Opatija

      Today weโ€™ll enjoy some morning cycling around Cres town, stopping off at the cute seaside cafes and shops - the perfect place to grab some olive oil or artisan gifts to take home. Lunch is served as we head towards the mainland and stop at Lovran for a lovely walking tour on the famous Franz Joseph promenade, better known as the Lungomare. Today is ours to enjoy the numerous cafes and restaurants in Opatija or at the nearby fishermanโ€™s village of Volosko. We have the option to end on a high tonight, with a group meal of Croatian specialities such as fresh seafood and local wine.
