      Flight to Niamey. Pick up at the airport and transfer to the hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel. (Travel time 20min)

      Early morning domestic flight to Agadez (approx. 2 hours) in the north-east of the country. Transfer to the hotel. In the afternoon, visit the cattle market with the Tuareg traders. Overnight stay at the hotel.

      Day 3: Abalak - Festival

      Drive to Abalak in the morning. Along the way, you will encounter nomads on their way to their summer quarters. On the way you make a stop in Abalak, the last large town before you reach the Peulh guerewool area. Lunch and a first walk to the nomadsโ€™ camp. Overnight stay in a tent with fixed dormitory tents. (Travel time approx. 5 hours, approx. 290 km).

      Day 4: Guerewool Festival

      The day is all about the Guerewool festival. You take part up close when the men of the Bororo-Fulbe compete in dances to win the favor of the women. In the individual camps of the nomads, you will experience the make-up skills of the men, as well as their singing and camel handling skills. Immerse yourself in a very old nomadic tradition that can only be experienced in a few places in West Africa. Overnight stay as on the previous day.

      Day 5: Guerewool Festival - Agadez

      Follow the festivities until midday and then break up the tents and say au revoir to the young Wodaabe. Return to Agadez and check into your room. Overnight stay in the hotel. (Travel time approx. 5 hours, 290 km).

      Day 6: Cosmopolitan Agadez

      "Agadez" - what a melodious name. A famous caravan town and gateway to the Sahara. The trade flows to southern Libya and southern Algeria started and still start from here. It is not without reason that UNESCO has declared the old town with its narrow streets, lively markets and its main mosque made of mud bricks with its iconic minaret a World Heritage Site. Stroll through the city and discover its most beautiful squares. Donโ€™t miss a visit to a womenโ€™s dance group that cultivates the local dance tradition. Also be there when young Tuareg are initiated by the Tambari, the spiritual leader. Overnight stay in the hotel. (Travel time approx. 5 hours, 290 km).

      Departure for Agadez in the morning. As you drive south through the Sahel, the vegetation slowly increases again. Huge baobab trees can be seen. In the afternoon you reach Zinder, which has a lot to offer as the economic and cultural center and former capital of the country. Situated on an old and famous caravan route connecting West Africa with Mecca, the Haussa, famous for their trading activities, made it their center early on. Rich trading houses and the Haussa-style main mosque bear witness to the cityโ€™s former prosperity. Overnight stay in a hotel. (Travel time approx. 7 hours, approx. 450 km).

      Day 8: Sightseeing Tour Of Zinder And The Surrounding Area

      Experience the colorful mixture of languages, religions and faces of West Africa on a city tour! The area around Zinder is traditionally the land of the Haussa, whose sultan resides in his palace in Mirriah. A visit to the palace is on the program as well as a stop in small villages with their gardens, where you will get an impression of the everyday life of the people. Return to Zinder in the evening. Overnight stay as on the previous day.

      To round off the trip, a visit to the Niger capital is on the agenda today. A trip on the Niger River in a pinnace is of course a must. A day room is available in Niamey. After dinner together, drive to the airport and return flight to Europe.
