After your arrival at the airport, travel independently or with the SKR transfer service to your hotel, where you will spend the next five nights. Settle in there at your leisure and recover from your arrival. If there is still time, you can already explore your surroundings on your own and take in the fascinating metropolis with its yellow cabs, hustle and bustle and imposing skyscrapers.

      Day 2: Midtown Manhattan

      Today you will be introduced to the many highlights of Midtown. Your tour guide will have a subway ticket for you to use to get around New York Cityโ€™s mass transit system. You will begin your tour at Rockefeller Center, where you will have access to the Top of the Rock observation deck. From here you will have a breathtaking view over the rooftops of the city. Continue to the famous Times Square, known for its glowing billboards and Broadway theaters. Especially at this place you can feel the pulsating energy of New York. You will make a short detour to Grand Central Terminal, which is an architectural gem and one of the busiest train stations in the world. For another great example of American architecture, visit the Stephen A. Schwarzman Main Library. Stop for lunch at a local diner. A typical American burger is recommended. Afterwards, stroll through Grove Court, a desirable, quiet and picturesque residential neighborhood. Immerse yourself in the atmosphere of the 1920s and imagine how people escaped through the back doors of a speakeasy bar during raids. A visit to the popular Chelsea Market is not to be missed on this day. Here you can find everything that makes a foodieโ€™s heart beat faster. You will end your tour today with a walk along the High Line, an elevated railway line that has been transformed into a public park.       Your city tour begins at the famous Wall Street, the epicenter of American finance. Admire the imposing skyscrapers that dominate the skyline and have your camera ready to snap a photo with the world-famous Wall Street bull. Stop at Federal Hall, where George Washington was sworn in as the first president of the United States in 1789. Youโ€™ll visit Trinity Church, which is an impressive example of Gothic architecture and houses valuable works of art. Then proceed to the Fireman Memorial, a memorial dedicated to the firefighters who lost their lives in the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001. Your tour continues to Ground Zero and 9/11 Memorial. Linger at the two large pools of water placed at the sites of the former Twin Towers and take an emotional journey through the history of the attack. In the afternoon, explore the city on your own.       This morning, the Subway will take you to Harlem, a neighborhood worth visiting in northern Manhattan. There you will begin your gospel tour, which will first show you the beautiful murals of 125th Street. Afterwards, you will visit a Baptist church where you can be infected by the positive energy of gospel singing. The powerful music is said to deliver a good message and offers a tranquil oasis to city life. Continue with the Apollo Theater and a walk along 138th Street past the Abyssinian Church. In the afternoon, on the other side of the East River, the borough of Brooklyn awaits you, which has a flair all its own and is known for its architecture and diversity, among other things. There you will get to know Dumbo, which has developed into an artistsโ€™ district. The name is an abbreviation for "Down Under the Manhattan Bridge Overpass," which is explained by its close proximity to the Manhattan and Brooklyn Bridges. Enjoy great views of the Manhattan skyline from the Brooklyn Heights boardwalk. Your tour ends at the popular Hard Rock Cafรฉ, where you will say goodbye to your tour guide.
