      Arrival at Muscat International Airport. After passport control and baggage claim, you will be met by a driver in the arrivals hall (only if you have pre-booked this transfer with us). The rest of the day is free for you to explore the city on your own. Overnight stay at the hotel.

      Your tour guide will greet you at around 8:30 in the morning and you will set off for the Batinah coastal region. Your first stop is the fish market in Barka, where tuna and king fish, among other things, are traded. The tour continues to the Ain Thawara hot spring, which is located in a date garden in the foothills of the Hajar Mountains. Afterwards, the three-meter-thick walls of the Al-Hazm Fort, one of the most beautiful Omani fortresses, await you. Back in Muscat, visit the National Museum, where you can marvel at the countryโ€™s cultural heritage from the first human settlement to the present day. Overnight stay as on the previous day. (Travel time approx. 4-5 hours, 325 km).

      At around 09:30, you embark on a city tour. You will visit the large sandstone and marble mosque, whose main prayer hall is adorned with magnificent Swarovski chandeliers and a huge Persian carpet. Continue to the Muttrah Suk, where the heavenly scent of incense and spices takes you in. You will then familiarize yourself with traditional Omani culture at the Bait Al Zubair Museum and make a photo stop at the Al Alam Sultanโ€™s Palace. The afternoon is at leisure before you admire Muscat from its most beautiful side on a sunset drive (approx. 2 hours). Overnight stay as on the previous day. (Travel time approx. 2h, 80 km).

  • Day 4 Day 4: Jabrin Fortress - Al Hamra Palm Oasis - Jebel Shams - Nizwa

      Today you leave Muscat and drive inland. On the way, you will visit the fortress of Jabrin and the mountain oasis of Al Hamra. Afterwards, four-wheel drive vehicles will take you to the "Sun Mountain" (Jebel Shams), where you can look into the "Grand Canyon". In the afternoon, you will reach Nizwa, the former capital of the Sultanate. For hundreds of years, traders and craftsmen have set up shop in a maze of alleyways in the Suk near the fortress walls. Weavers, potters and traditional copper and dagger smiths can still be found here today. Overnight stay in a hotel. (Travel time approx. 4-5 hours, 350 km).

      After breakfast, drive to the Sinaw market, a bustling Bedouin market where livestock and handicrafts are traded every Thursday. For lunch, you are invited to the private home of an Omani family and enjoy a traditional meal and the proverbial Omani hospitality. Strengthened, you continue to the ruins of the Al-Mansfah community near Ibra and in the afternoon you reach the edge of the Wahiba Desert. From there, four-wheel drive vehicles will take you to your camp in the dunes of the sand sea. Overnight stay in the desert camp. (Travel time approx. 3-4 hours, 220 km).

  • Day 6 Day 6: Wadi Bani Khalid - Sur - Ras-Al-Jinz Turtle Reserve

      From the red sand dunes of the Wahiba Desert, you continue to the evergreen Wadi Bani Khalid with its natural pools and palm trees. From here, you will head to the coast to the harbor town of Sur, where traditional wooden boats are still made today and you will visit a "dhow shipyard". Afterwards, you will drive to Ras Al Hadd and, after dinner, go on an excursion to the Ras Al Jinz turtle reserve. Under the guidance of a ranger, you may be lucky enough to observe green sea turtles laying their eggs. Overnight stay at the hotel. (Travel time approx. 3-4 hours, 210 km).

  • Day 7 Day 7: Wadis Shaโ€™Ab And Tiwi - Bimah Sinkhole - Individual Departure Or Bathing Extension

      Day 7: Wadis Shaโ€™Ab And Tiwi - Bimah Sinkhole - Individual Departure Or Bathing Extension

      Today itโ€™s time to say goodbye and drive back to Muscat along the coast. On the way, you will stop at the beautiful Wadi Tiwi and have lunch in a local restaurant. You will then drive to the sinkhole of Bimah, a geological karst formation and a scenic wonder. Depending on your departure time, you will be taken to the airport approx. 3 hours before departure (without tour guide). (If you have more time in your luggage and would like to enjoy the sun even longer, we recommend a beach extension in Muscat, Salalah or on the Musandam peninsula. An additional overnight stay in Muscat is required for the extension in Musandam.
