      Day 2: Letโ€™S Discover Milan

Recently listed as the first and best italian city for quality of life, Milan is our international pride. In the past, it used to be the working city, the place where all italians moved to in order to find jobs; today is THE place to live; parks, attractions, modernity, sustainability and job opportunity. Milan is the european capital today and the greatest part is that eveything (almost everything) is walking distance, making the walking tour weโ€™re going to do very easy and interesting. Weโ€™ll go with a local guide a will discover some of the most famous but also least known attractions of the city.

Lunch will be on own, together with the afternoon. The tour leader will give you suggestions and alternatives and, most important, will give you the next appointment, that will be at the splendid Terrazza martini, where youโ€™ll have a special welcome drink. The most elegant location for a splendid cocktail experience with a special view of the city.

Dinner will be on own tonight. Overnight

  • Day 3 Day 3: Piedmont
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Day 3: Piedmont

Today we leave Milan, departing towards west in order to visit Piedmont. On our way to Piedmont we will stop in Casale Monferrato, not a touristic place, but home of one of the most famous italian biscuits, the famous Krumiri. According to legend Krumiri were invented  for fun and by chance. Italy had been a unified country for only a few years and the repercussions of the Risorgimento could still be felt. After spending an evening with friends in his local cafรฉ, Domenico Rossi invited them all to his confectionerโ€™s kitchen and there, with a little alchemy and a touch of magic, he baked the very first Krumiri. We donโ€™t really know for sure if thatโ€™s exactly what happened, but thatโ€™s what legend tells and we believe it.

Weโ€™ll get the chance to visit one of the most historic place in the city of Casale to see how krumiri are made and then weโ€™ll have a special lunch in a local restaurant, run by a young chef that amazingly combines tradition and modern approach; the great cuisine from Piedmont at its best!

After lunch, weโ€™ll go towards Alba where we will check in and relax before going for dinner, in the land of truffle! Overnight

  • Day 4 Day 4: Barolo Wine Tour
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Day 4: Barolo Wine Tour

Get ready for this special wine day tour! After breakfast youโ€™ll be picked up to start this special wine day experience. Your first winery will be Coppo Winery.

Since its foundation in 1892 in Canelli, Piedmont, Coppo winery has remained in the family for over one hundred and twenty years, making it one of the oldest family-run wineries in all of Italy.

The historical Coppo underground cellars, a UNESCO World Heritage, were built in the late 18th century and extend under Canelli hill for a total of five thousand square meters (53,800 sq. ft.) and, up to, a depth of forty meters (130 ft.). Coppoโ€™s wines are characterized by elegance, finesse, and longevity. Their production focuses on Barbera, Metodo Classico sparkling wines, Chardonnay, and Moscato dโ€™Asti.

In the early 1980s, the Coppo brothers were among the first in the territory to demonstrate the ele-gance, character, and ageing potential of the Barbera grape. Barbera remains their specialty today, in particular the Barbera dโ€™Asti DOCG Pomorosso label.

We will have the chance to visit the cellars and then enjoy a special wine tasting!

After the tour weโ€™ll go towards Neive for lunch in a local restaurant.

Neive is called the land of four wines: Barbaresco (made with the Nebbiolo grapes), Barbera (with the Barbera grapes), then Dolcetto dโ€™Alba (with the Dolcetto grapes) and finally sweet dessert white wine Moscato dโ€™Asti (with the Muscat variety).

After lunch weโ€™ll get the chance to live a really special moment in Barolo. Indeed weโ€™ll meet Stefano Cagliero, owner of the Cagliero company, that will give us the opportunity to live a once in a lifetime experience. This will not be only a wine tasting moment, but a familiar conversation about Barolo, tasting his different wines that he personally treats as children. Absolutely unforgettable!

Then weโ€™ll get back to the hotel for dinner and overnight!

  • Day 5 Day 5: Emilia Romagna!
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Day 5: Emilia Romagna!

Today we change region for the second time. Indeed, we leave Piedmont and go towards Emilia Romagna, considered the real italian capital of food; the region is also known as the food valley and we will see why!

Our first stop will be in Modena; here weโ€™ll get the chance to see the beautiful production of balsamic vinegar!

The first historical reference to balsamic vinegar dates back to 1046, when a bottle of balsamic vinegar was reportedly given to Emperor Enrico III of Franconia as a gift. In the Middle Ages, it was used as a disinfectant. It also had a reputation as a miracle cure, good for everything from sore throats to labor pains.

Balsamic vinegar is an aged reduction of white sweet grapes  that are boiled to a syrup. T
