      Day 1: Tromso

      Individual arrival in Tromso and transfer by public airport bus. The lively city in the far north of Norway is naturally situated on an island which is connected to the mainland by several bridges. 4 nights in Tromso.

  • Day 2 Day 2: Dog Sled Safari In The Tamok Valley Or Day At Leisure

      Day 2: Dog Sled Safari In The Tamok Valley Or Day At Leisure

      From 15.12.-30.3. transfer to the mountains around Tromso, where the dogs will be waiting for you. After a short introduction to driving a dog sled team, you will set off on a dog sled tour and take turns driving. Snacks and warm drinks are served during a break before returning to the dog farm. For tours starting 1.11.-14.12. and 31.3.-26.4. you have the whole day free to explore Tromso on your own. (Breakfast).

      In the morning, we recommend taking a speedboat to Finnsnes and being enchanted by the mountain and fjord landscape (approx. 6 hours, optional). In the late afternoon, depending on the weather, you will set off from Tromso, sometimes as far as the Finnish border. Your guides will find the best place for you to experience the spectacular Northern Lights. Away from artificial light sources, the polar starry sky reveals its full splendor. You can fortify yourself with a snack on the way. Return to Tromso between midnight and 2 am. For tours starting from 31.3.-26.4. the day is at leisure. We recommend one of the boat trips from our excursion program. (Breakfast).

      Day 4: Day At Leisure And Sami Experience

      Discover Tromso on your own! For example, visit the Polar Museum (optional) and learn a lot about the history of polar explorers. Or go on one of the numerous excursions, e.g. a fast-paced snowmobile safari in the snow-sure Tamok Valley (optional, see note). If the trip starts from 15.12.-30.3. transfer to a Sami camp outside the city. Here you will have a cozy snack around a campfire in a typical lavoo tent and learn interesting facts about Sami culture and the modern way of life of the indigenous people of the north. Afterwards, you will have the opportunity to take part in a short reindeer sleigh ride. With a bit of luck, you might even see the mystical Northern Lights dancing in the sky! The chances of this are very good outside the city. (Breakfast).
