      Day 1: Hola Colombia!

      Bienvenido a Medellin, the city of eternal spring. Arrive at any time (we can help recommend flights) and weโ€™ll be at the airport ready to take you back to your hotel. Unpack, relax, settle-in and then why not go for a wander to explore your new exotic surroundings. In the evening weโ€™ll meet for a welcome introduction and then enjoy a group dinner so you can get to know better your fellow travellers.

  • Day 2 Day 2: Mezmerizing Medellin

      Day 2: Mezmerizing Medellin

      Time to get up close and personal to the sizzling urban sprawl that is Medellin. Weโ€™ll catch the cityโ€™s modern metro system and do a whistle-stop tour of โ€˜El Centroโ€™ before stopping for a hearty lunch at one of Medellinโ€™s most historical restaurants. Afterwards, youโ€™ll visit Comuna 13 to witness first-hand the impressive social transformation taking place in the cityโ€™s most notoriously dangerous zone โ€“ itโ€™s humbling, inspiring and fascinating all rolled into one!

  • Day 3 Day 3: Colorful Guatape

      Day 3: Colorful Guatape

      Today weโ€™ll head to the nearby town of Guatape โ€“ the most colorful pueblo in Colombia. In the morning weโ€™ll climb the 765 steps to the top of La Piedra, a huge monolithic rock providing jaw-dropping panoramic views over the utterly spectacular Guatape reservoir. The afternoon is then free for you to explore, whether thatโ€™s enjoying a scenic boat ride, doing water sports, or simply wandering the quirky townโ€™s vibrant streets.

      Day 4: Free Day

      Today is all yours to explore Medellin at your own pace. You could take the metrocable out of the city to visit the nature reserve of Parque Arvi (with epic views en route). Or you could go to the museum โ€˜Casa de La Memoriaโ€™ to learn more about the victims of Colombiaโ€™s 50-year armed conflict. Or for more adrenalin filled action thereโ€™s the option to paraglide in the surrounding mountains. In the evening weโ€™ll regroup to enjoy a fun and energetic Colombian Salsa lesson.

  • Day 5 Day 5: Beautiful Jardin

      Day 5: Beautiful Jardin

      Time to make the journey to the rural Antioquian town of Jardin to experience local โ€˜Paisaโ€™ culture at its most authentic โ€“ you may feel like youโ€™ve stepped back in time. After the scenic bus ride from Medellin you will check into our quaint hotel before spending the afternoon visiting a local coffee finca. Here youโ€™ll enjoy a home cooked lunch, witness the coffee making process, learn about life as a coffee farmer and taste some of the freshest coffee in your life!

  • Day 6 Day 6: Hike The Andes

      Day 6: Hike The Andes

      Today is all about getting outdoors, getting active and reconnecting with nature! Youโ€™ll spend the morning hiking the lush Andes mountains surrounding Jardin, stopping off to enjoy the plentiful waterfalls and breathtaking scenery along the way. Then take the afternoon at your leisure: horse-riding, mountain biking, hangliding, or simply soaking up the peace and tranquility of the charismatic pueblo. In the evening weโ€™ll share a group meal in the townโ€™s colorful central plaza.

  • Day 7 Day 7: La Rumba

      Day 7: La Rumba

      Itโ€™s time to head back for one last night in the buzzing city of Medellin. Along the way weโ€™ll stop off for some lunch and a game of Tejo, which letโ€™s just say involves beer, gunpowder and a ridiculous amount of laughter. Later in the evening youโ€™ll go to our personal favourite restaurant in the city and afterwards itโ€™s time to sample the pulsating nightlife โ€“ la rumba โ€“ in its full weekend glory. Tonight would be a perfect time to test out those new found Salsa moves!

  • Day 8 Day 8: Charming Cartagena

      Day 8: Charming Cartagena

      Itโ€™s time to say adios to seductive Medellin, but donโ€™t worry, youโ€™re only getting started! Following a short 1-hour flight, youโ€™ll swap the sweeping Andes mountains for the sparkling Caribbean coast. After checking in to the hotel, the afternoon is yours to explore the utterly charming Cartagena at your leisure. In the evening weโ€™ll enjoy a very unique (and socially impactful) dining experience in Cartagenaโ€™s old town.

  • Day 9 Day 9: Tropical Island Hopping

      Day 9: Tropical Island Hopping

      Today weโ€™re hiring our very own private speedboat and setting off for some island-hopping around the very tropical Rosario Islands. Weโ€™ll swim, snorkel, sunbathe, enjoy the freshest seafood lunch and bask in the pristine beaches and crystal clear sea. Just make sure you save some of your energy for later. In the evening we have Champeta (Afro-Caribbean) dance class and afterwards you may want to hit up the local bar scene to try out your new moves.

  • Day 10 Day 10: Exploring Cartagena

      Day 10: Exploring Cartagena

      Free day! You could head out of town to the nearby Bazurto market or Palenque village to get a better perspective of real life Colombia. If mud baths are your thing, you could venture out to the Totum mud volcano. Or, simply relax by the pool with a cocktail and take in the coastal view from above. Later, weโ€™ll regroup over a spot of rum tasting and then itโ€™s time for a chiva rumbera (a uniquely Colombian experience which involves a bus, live music, a dancefloor, and even more rum)!

  • Day 11 Day 11: Chill Day

      Day 11: Chill Day

      Time to say goodbye to Cartagena and make the 4-hour bus journey towards Parque Nacional Tayrona (itโ€™s a great opportunity to catch up on sleep after a few late nights). Our hotel is located in the most gorgeous, tranquil, setting just outside the park amidst the lush Colombian jungle. Upon arrival itโ€™s all about relaxation. You can enjoy the pool, outdoor jacuzzi, sauna, steam room โ€“ and if thatโ€™s not quite enough โ€“ weโ€™ve also hooked you up with a massage.

  • Day 12 Day 12: A Day In Paradise

      Day 12: A Day In Paradise

      We canโ€™t think of many better feelings than waking up knowing youโ€™re going to spend the day inside the exotic, otherworldly Tayrona national park. Itโ€™s epic! Weโ€™ll make our way to the postcard-worthy beach of Cabo San Juan by hiking through dense Colombian rainforests and along rugged coastal paths to spend a few hours basking by the sun-drenched shores (thereโ€™s also the option of the much tougher jungle hike which passes through โ€œPueblitoโ€ โ€“ a hidden indigenous village).

  • Day 13 Day 13: Colombiaโ€™S Bustling Capital

      Itโ€™s time for a change of scene, so weโ€™ll make our way to the Santa Marta airport for the short (1 hour) flight to Colombiaโ€™s bustling capital, Bogota.After checking into the hotel, weโ€™ll make our way to Monserrate mountain where weโ€™ll ride the metrocable to the top to take in the utterly spectacular panoramic views over the gigantic Bogota. Weโ€™ll then stroll towards the charming old town โ€“ La Candelaria โ€“ to feel first-hand the vibe of Colombiaโ€™s cool capital.

  • Day 14 Day 14: Zipaquira

      Day 14: Zipaquira

      Today, weโ€™ll sample Colombian life outside the urban sprawl by heading to the neighboring and much smaller town of Zipaquira โ€“ famous locally for its hugely impressive underground salt cathedral. Trust us; this is WAY cooler than it sounds! Weโ€™ll spend a relaxing day first visiting the cathedral and then exploring the town. For our last evening in Colombia weโ€™ll share a group dinner in a legendary (and lively) Bogota restaurant full of music, color and awesome food.

  • Day 15 Day 15: Adios Amigos

      Day 15: Adios Amigos

      All good things must come to an end, and the time has come to say goodbye. But think of all the incredible things youโ€™ve done. Youโ€™ve danced salsa, & champeta, drank rum, hiked jungles, swam pristine oceans, felt the buzz of mega cities, discovered hidden pueblos, mingled with locals, eat awesome food, learned about Colombiaโ€™s painful past and shared all of this with some amazing people along the way.  After one final breakfast, weโ€™ll take you to the airport in Bogota to begin your journey home.
