Extra Activities at the Hotel Local taxes: Bahia Solano entry tax (30.000 COP approx $8 USD) Bahia Solano departure tax (8.000 COP approx $2 USD) Entry ticket to Utria National Park (60.000 COP approx $16 USD) Please note - Migrating whales pass through the Colombian Pacific in search of warmer waters to give birth to the calves from late June until late October, therefore this is the best time to see them, nonetheless this place is still worth a visit due to its enormous natural richness. Other activities can be arranged for you if your travel dates do not match this season.

  • Day 1 Arrival The Magical Land Of Bahia Solano.

      Arrival The Magical Land Of Bahia Solano.

      Transfer to the hotel takes about 40 minutes by car or tuk tuk. After checking in and settling into your accommodation, enjoy lunch and then have a leisurely afternoon. You can safely wander the hotel’s ecological trails to explore the area or head to the expansive black sand beaches of the Pacific to catch the sunset.

      After enjoying your breakfast, very early in the morning, you will take the boat to go out in search of the whales. On this day you will be able to enjoy the spectacle of these majestic animals as they surface with their 7 metre blows, backs, tails and playful calves.  

      In case of no contact with the whales, another outing will be rescheduled.

Wake up to the soothing sounds of nature and ocean waves in the morning, savor a final moment in the rainforest, or enjoy a refreshing swim in the Pacific’s powerful waves and dark sands. Once you’re packed and ready, transportation will be available to whisk you away to Bahía Solano airport.
