Itinerary of your trip Mallorca: Mediterranean Island Idyll (On E-Bikes) Guided Cyc

  • Day 1 How To Get To Palma
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      How To Get To Palma

Individual arrival in Palma. Your rooms will be ready for you at the hotel from 15:00. Your terranova tour guide will be waiting to welcome you at the hotel reception at 16:30. Together you will travel by bus or cab to the old town of Palma de Mallorca. Your tour guide will take you on a guided tour through the picturesque alleyways and squares of the old town. It extends around the magnificent cathedral. It is one of the most beautiful in the Mediterranean. There is usually mass during our city tour, which is why we cannot always visit the cathedral from the inside! There was once an Arab mosque here. Only the filigree of the narrow streets reminds us of their rule. They are lined with numerous palaces that look almost forbidding from the street. Occasionally you can take a look into their inner courtyards, which are architectural works of art. You will enjoy dinner in a typical Mallorcan restaurant in the old town. Afterwards, your tour guides will take you back to your hotel. 1 overnight stay at the Bennoc Petit Hotel****.

  • Day 2 Monasteroc Randa And The โ€œEs Plaโ€ - Easy Stage - 59 Km
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Monasteroc Randa And The โ€œEs Plaโ€ - Easy Stage - 59 Km

The Mallorcans call the heart of their island the "Pla". This is where those once rich estates with huge estates and small fincas are located. Grain, olives and almonds grow here. We will show you the beautiful Randa Monastery - also known as the "Santuari Senyora de Cura de Randa" or "Santuari de la Mare de Dรฉu de Cura". It is located at the top of the 542-metre-high Puig de Randa mountain, on which there are two other monasteries. From there you have a magnificent view of the vast landscape of the island to the south. The next destination is also one of the many Mallorcan mountain monasteries worth seeing near the rural town of Porreres. Without the slightest incline, you cycle to the foot of the Montesion mountain. The path up to the Montesion monastery is a must-do, whether by bike, on foot or in a terranova escort vehicle.

Originally a Jesuit school, famous for its high standard of Greek and Latin. From the middle of the 14th century, a monastery with a church in honor of "Our Lady of Mount Zion". Today the complex is financially supported by Mallorcan families from the surrounding area. After a lunch break in the beautiful square of the small rural town of Porreres, the cycle route finally takes you to Sineu. Its Wednesday market is the most famous and largest on the island and attracts more than just the locals to this otherwise quiet town in the interior of the island. You will enjoy dinner in a typical Mallorcan restaurant on the edge of the old town of Sineu. 2 nights at the Hotel Caโ€™n Joan Capo****.

  • Day 3 To Petra & To The Castle Of A Country Baron - Easy Stage - 40 Km
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

To Petra & To The Castle Of A Country Baron - Easy Stage - 40 Km

Today, you can once again expect an almost ascent-free cycle route that often follows historic country lanes. Such a path is called a "cami". You have to know your way around Mallorca to find these paths and document them so that your tour guides can always find them. Your bikes are already waiting outside the hotel for the next ride. Your first destination is the important country town of Sineu in the center of the island. You continue by bike to Petra. The house of the priest Fra Junipero Sera, the founder of San Francisco, is located in an inconspicuous alleyway in this traditional farming village!

On the way back to your hotel, the cycle path leads through a farming village where street vendors have piled up all the colorful splendor of Mediterranean crops. You would love to pick up a basket full of dates, artichokes, tomatoes and guavas! This abundance of crops was the livelihood of the rich land barons of Mallorca. Their mostly aristocratic estates are still called "possessiones" (possessions) today. Many of these manor houses are furnished like magnificent castles. Only recently has Els Calderรฉrs - one of these remote aristocratic country palaces - been made accessible to visitors by the family. You will be amazed at how magnificently the land barons of Mallorca lived and how tastefully they furnished their homes. You will have the evening at leisure to discover the atmospheric little town on your own and sample tapas and wine in the numerous bars and restaurants (dinner not included today).

  • Day 4 On The Southern Slopes Of The Sierra Tramuntana - Easy Stage - 40 Km
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

On The Southern Slopes Of The Sierra Tramuntana - Easy Stage - 40 Km

The EBIKE ride starts once again in front of the hotel and leads along the Tramuntana mountains to Campanet. This cultural landscape was recently awarded World Heritage status. On our cycle route today, you will always have the mountain range of the "Sierra" in front of you - the mountain range up to 1,400 meters high, which follows the entire north coast of the island. The transition from this often bizarre and wild mountain range to the plain forms one of the most charming landscapes on the whole island. There you will also drive through the wine village of Binissalem and reach the picturesque village of Caimari around midday. At the end of the village, rugged high mountains rise up. There are again wonderful and winding camis through hidden valleys, which can be tackled by bike without much effort. The closer we get to the mountains, the more often you will see the almond and fruit trees with peaches and apricots being replaced by olive trees with the typical silvery shiny leaves. At the foot of the mountains, in a secluded mountain valley, lies the small village of Binibona. The beautiful Finca Hotel Binibona Parc Natural is located in this wonderfully secluded hamlet. Here you will spend three nights in a cozy and rural Mallorcan setting. We have dinner in the hotelโ€™s excellent restaurant with a wonderful view over the countryside. 3 nights at the Hotel Finca Park Natural**** in Binibona. In the Holy Week (9.-16.04.2022) 3 nights at the Fincahotel Can Furios**** in Binibona.

  • Day 5 Monastery Of Lluch & Majorcaโ€™S North Coast - Easy Stage - 51 Km
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

Monastery Of Lluch & Majorcaโ€™S North Coast - Easy Stage - 51 Km

Once again you start directly at the hotel, this time in the opposite direction along the mountains to Caimari. The mountain range of jagged peaks with its sometimes lovely and often wild valleys and magnificent cliffs overlooking the sea is considered by many to be one of the most charming landscapes in the entire western Mediterranean. Today gives you the opportunity to get to know this unusual landscape. Between Caimari and the monastery of Lluch runs an old "cami", one of those fascinating "original paths" that have been preserved on Mallorca. It is a wide path that has been artfully built from natural stone over long stretches and has survived for centuries. It runs evenly uphill through ancient pine forest. Countless pilgrims have walked it in processions lasting for days to the Lluch monastery. We also walk the most beautiful section of this path. This will take you deep into a dramatic rocky mountain range with stunning views. This path is one of Mallorcaโ€™s unforgettable scenic experiences. If you want to avoid it, you can take the uphill ride in our support bus. Shortly after crossing a busy pass, the path descends into a green basin with the Lluch monastery, which is well worth a visit. Donโ€™t miss the tour of the Lluch monastery with its particularly venerated statue of the Madonna and the ascent to its romantic Calvary!

After the lunch break, a dramatic cycle route follows! The cycle route out of the mountains is breathtaking with fantastic views of the deep blue sea. This cycle route ends at a double-arched bridge dating back to Roman times. From here you can walk into this old town, which is well worth a visit. You will immediately fall in love with the historic old town of Pollensa: Its narrow streets are home to countless interesting stores, pubs and remarkable galleries. On the Plaza Mayor, restaurants and cafรฉs have set up their chairs in front of the house. After a coffee break in the small rural town of Pollenca, the last section of the cycle tour on Mallorca lies ahead of you. Cycle the last few kilometers on small roads along fields planted with vines on the south side of the Sierra de Tramuntana back to your finca hotel.

  • Day 6 Roman Bridge And Cap De Formentor - Easy Stage - 60 Km
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

Roman Bridge And Cap De Formentor - Easy Stage - 60 Km

This is a fantastic cycle route: it starts again directly at the hotel and leads through the magnificent landscape of karstified, wild rocks and deep gorges. The closer you get to the town of Pollenรงa, the more lovely the landscape becomes. Gradually, it seems to transform into a Mediterranean garden. We follow a winding path flanked by ancient walls. It zigzags confusingly through fields and orchards at the foot of the cone-shaped Puig Maria mountain, on whose summit lies a small monastery that is difficult to reach. Finally, the cycle route continues to the harbor town of Puerto de Pollenรงa. From there, take a walk along the harbor pier. It is arched over by huge old pine trees whose branches stretch far out over the water. The harbor town lies at the foot of the foothills of the karstic mountains. It forms a huge and very narrow peninsula of rugged and jagged mountains that reaches far into the sea. This is the famous Formentor peninsula. Rocks rising vertically from the sea give this headland a dramatic and wild character. This rocky landscape is inaccessible to cyclists. To show it to you, we take the bus to one of the most spectacular views. There you will stand above a huge cliff, at the foot of which the sea crashes against steep cliffs.

In the afternoon, we follow the cycle path along the coast to the historic town of Alcรบdia. There you can admire photogenic old town walls and Roman ruins that are well worth seeing. The return journey from Alcudia to the hotel first takes us through the Parc Natural de Sโ€™Albufera, the most important wetland on the Balearic Islands. The route continues mostly on picturesque old camis with little traffic through the interior back to the Binibona mountain valley.

  • Day 7 Majorcaโ€™S Romantic North Coast & Picturesque Villages - Middle Stage - 30 Km
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

Majorcaโ€™S Romantic North Coast & Picturesque Villages - Middle Stage - 30 Km

You have to see this part of the island! The mountain range of jagged peaks of Mallorca with its sometimes lovely and often wild valleys and steep drops of the mountains into the sea is considered by many to be one of the most charming landscapes in the entire western Mediterranean. Today gives you the opportunity to get to know this unusual landscape. Today, exceptionally, your day begins with a bus ride. It takes you over many bends and through tunnels up into the high and wild mountains. Only at the highest point of the road do you change from the bus to the familiar bikes. They are ready again at a magnificent viewpoint. From there you have an overwhelming view of the cliffs. The cycle route leads downhill on an asphalt road to Fornalutx, one of the most beautiful villages in Mallorca. We leave the bikes there to take a stroll through the charming stepped alleyways. Every step leads to new enticing photo opportunities in this listed village. The last section of the cycle tour on Mallorca now lies ahead of you. It ends in Soller.

The afternoon is at your disposal. We offer the hiking enthusiasts among our guests the opportunity to hike part of the way to Dรฉya with us and to roam through an extremely enticing and pristine natural environment. Dรฉya is known as an artistsโ€™ village. It is also situated high on the hillside above the coast. Slender palm trees and cypresses grow in its gardens. Bushes with colorful bougainvillea flowers climb over old walls between the closely spaced houses.

The hiking trail runs above the sea, partly through dense Mediterranean forest and always offers surprising views of the sea. In Deya, we then take a walk through the village together. It leads through narrow alleyways over low steps, past small galleries and pubs up to the old village church on the highest point of the village. Around the small church is certainly one of the most atmospheric cemeteries under tall pine trees. This is also the grave of the famous writer Robert Ranke-Graves ("I Claudius, Emperor and God"). He lived in Dรฉya, as do many well-known artists and writers today, for whom Dรฉya is an idyllic retreat. You will spend your last night on the island in the picturesque old town of Soller in an excellent hotel. Final dinner and 1 overnight stay at the Grand Hotel**** in Soller.
