      The Reichsburg Cochem, which was built in the 11th century and rebuilt in neo-Gothic style in the 19th century, is one of the main attractions. From here you have a spectacular view of the Moselle valley. The old town is characterized by half-timbered houses, narrow alleyways and numerous wine taverns where you can sample the local Riesling wine.

Another major attraction is the Ehrenbreitstein Fortress, which towers above the Rhine and offers impressive views of the city and the surrounding countryside.

      Andernach is a historic town on the Rhine in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. Known for its rich history, Andernach is one of the oldest towns in Germany, dating back to Roman times. The town is famous for its well-preserved medieval old town with half-timbered houses and narrow streets.


      A striking sight is the "Round Tower", a medieval fortified tower that was part of the old town fortifications and is now a landmark of the town. The Krahnenberg with the Krahnenberg Tower offers a magnificent view over Andernach and the Rhine Valley.
