  • Day 1 Day 1: Departure From Spain

      Day 1: Departure From Spain

      The bus will depart from different points in Spain to take us to the far south of the Iberian Peninsula, where we will get on board a comfortable ferry that will pass from one Herculesโ€™ column to the nezt, the end of the world according to the Romans.

  • Day 2 Day 2: Tangier - Marrakesh

      Day 2: Tangier - Marrakesh

      After we have passed border control, we will start our trip from the green Mediterranean to Marrakech, heart of Morrocco


      Heading down the Atlas we will arrive at the tourist capital of Morocco, the red city of Marrakesh. We will have time to visit its buzzing souk, the market, the Bahia palace and enjoy the sunset in the mythical Jamaa el Fna square. If youโ€™re still not tiredโ€ฆ get ready for a night of madness in Marrakech!

      • The origin of the Jamaa el Fna market in unknown. Some believe its name could be an old neologism meaning the โ€˜meeting of the deadโ€™
      • The city is divided between two large areas: the oldest being the Medina and the new is called Gueliz
      • The name Marrakesh comes from the Berber language meaning โ€˜land of Godโ€™. The city is located in the intersection between the desert and the snowy peaks of the High Atlas mountains
  • Day 3 Day 3: Marrakesh - Dades

      Day 3: Marrakesh - Dades

      In the morning we will wake up soon to enjoy another UNESCO World Heritage Site in Morocco: Aรฏt Ben Haddou. Here, we will visit the famous Kasbah, i.e., a fortified village made of mud and straw. From here we will climb the oldest and winding roads which provide access to the Atlas mountains, the highest mountains in Africa after Mount Kilimanjaro. Here, the views are incredible and you will probably be able to see snow!

  • Day 4 Day 4: Dades - Merzouga

      Day 4: Dades - Merzouga

      During the way, we will cross through Todra Throats, amazing clifts formed by the erosion of millenary rivers. We will spend the night in Merzouga, the beggining of the desert and we will admire the Erg Chebbi Dunes, the tallest in Morocco.

      Get out of bed! Itโ€™s time to go to the desert!


      In the morning we will have an optional activity: 4ร—4 excursion. You will see nomads villages and Kohl Mines. When the sun goes down, we will meet some charming dromedary friends and will start our journey to the Haimas camp (1h 30 mins approximately) where you can enjoy the game of shadows that is cast as the sun sets on the dunes. Here we will have a dinner and will enjoy the entertainment of our berber friends, or if youโ€™re not in a party mood, feel free to enjoy a romantic night under the Saharan stars!

      • Mauritania, located on the border of the Sahara, hosts a beach in the bay of Nouadhibou where you can find the biggest ship graveyard in the world, where old ships now rot half buried in the sand
      • In the  Ihhan Ubari dunes in Libya , 15 salt water lakes can be found. The biggest is called Mandara
      • Desert temperatures are very extreme: over 40 degrees centigrade in the day and sub-zero during the night
  • Day 6 Day 6: Desert -Fes

      Day 6: Desert -Fes

      Today, we will get up early to see the Sun rise from behind the dunes. Weโ€™ll then head back to the hotel on our dromedaries and take advantage of a relaxing shower and comforting breakfast and leave in the direction to Fez.

      • Al Qarawiyyin University located in Fez is the oldest university in the world still in operation.
  • Day 7 Day 7: Fes - Chefchouen - Tangier - Algeciras - Night On Bus

      Day 7: Fes - Chefchouen - Tangier - Algeciras - Night On Bus

      Once we are awake and after having breakfast in our hotel, we will visit Fez with an official guide, to get lost in its 8,000 streets of its labyrinthine Medina, we will pass through the Koranic school, the leather dry cleaners and its markets full of smells and colors. Later, we will leave the wonderful city of Fez to venture into the idyllic village of the Smurfs, the blue village of Chefchaouen of Jewish origin.


      Then we will head north again to return to Tangier and the columns of Hercules. After passing customs and enjoying another pleasant boat ride, we will return to Iberian lands navigating the line that connects the Mediterranean Sea with the Atlantic Ocean.

      • Chefchaouen is the administrative center of the province of the same name and one of the most attractive tourist spots in northern Morocco.
      • It is mainly characterized by the blue color of its houses.
      • It was considered a sacred city for centuries, so access was forbidden to non-Muslims until 1920.
      • Every year, just before Ramadan, the inhabitants of Chefchaouen carry out the general painting of their houses in blue and white, for which they spend 15 tons of paint. The reason? The legend tells that to drive away bugs and flies, the reality is unknown.
  • Day 8 Day 8: End Of Trip

      Like all good things, this journey also has to end. With sadness but with memories that will stay with us for life, we leave our group of friends at the departure point.

      **The suggested programme doesnโ€™t include optional/extra activities. You will have opportunity to book some of them in the reservation form, while the others will be proposed by the tour leader along the tour.

      *** The main language of this tour will be Spanish. However specific translations will be given as much as possible for those who speak english as it is not feasible to carry out the tour in 2 different languages simultaneously.
