  • Day 1 Day 1: Introduction Natural Horsemanship And Riding At The Corazon Volcano

      Day 1: Introduction Natural Horsemanship And Riding At The Corazon Volcano

      Introduction: We will start with an introduction about all the basics of the biology of horses, their natural behavior and natural horsemanship, our base method to work and live with our horses. Then you will be introduced to your horse and will get to know its personality, check the equipment and get to know riding it in our field. This allows you to gain confidence before starting the first short trek. Trek: The first trek will be basically to warm up with your horse and get to know some local villages and beautiful mountain views. We will ride towards the Corazon volcano and on a clear day you will have stunning views onto the Cotopaxi volcano. Around 2pm we will be back in the Hosteria PapaGayo so you can enjoy a delicious lunch. The rest of the afternoon you have free time to either take a walk, rent a bike or just relax in front of our cozy fireplace. At night you will enjoy a great dinner. Meals included: Lunch and dinner.

      Day 2: Riding At The Mystical Cloud Forest

      In the morning you will enjoy a delicious breakfast and then we will start our horse trek towards the Cloud Forest. The route leads through small villages, a beautiful eucalyptus forest, wide open fields and the Andes paramo grassland into the deep and mystical forest. This suptropical montane forest is home to some of the most biodiverse habitats on the planet, with an incredible profusion of plant life, wax palms, giant guneras (or the poor mans umbrella), majestic trees covered with moss, orchids, high-altitude bamboo and tree fern, the oldest species in the world. Bird watching is very popular here, there are hummingbirds, nightjars and many other exotic species to discover. To sum it up, you will be amazed by the diversity of flora and fauna you experience within a 5-hour ride. Around late noon time we will arrive at the Hacienda Bomboli in the middle of deep nature. You will enjoy a delicious tea or coffee in the afternoon, the lovely owners Mariana and Oswaldo will take great care of you. You will learn a lot about the conservation of the incredible nature and biodiversity. Dinner will be served at night. To preserve this natural environment there is no electricity or very hot water (just lightly warm) in Bomboli. However, the right preparation will make your stay a great experience and unforgettable. Meals included: breakfast,lunch and dinner.

  • Day 3 Day 3: Returning Through The Cloud Forest To Hosteria Papagayo

      Day 3: Returning Through The Cloud Forest To Hosteria Papagayo

      In the morning you will enjoy a nice breakfast and then get ready for the beautiful trek back. We will ride back up through the Cloud Forest and you get to enjoy the special views, flora and fauna one last time before getting to the mountains again. We will make a delicious lunch break close to a forest and then head towards the Hosteria PapaGayo. Here you can enjoy a nice coffee, tea or cake and relax before you move on towards your next destination.
