Cleaning and disinfecting procedures We use cleaning products and protocols which are effective against viruses in all areas accessible to staff and guests. This applies to all areas including guest rooms, public areas, dining areas and staff quarters. Check-in Procedure Our check-in procedure may include specific health and safety protocols such as completing a health questionnaire, having temperature taken and sanitising of hands. Vehicles and Shuttles Our vehicles are sanitised on a regular basis. We may limit the number of passengers per journey and require the use of PPE by all passengers during transfers.

  • Day 1 Day 1: Arrive Lusaka - Kafue National Park
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Day 1: Arrive Lusaka - Kafue National Park

      On arrival at Kenneth Kaunda International Airport, your driver will meet you and transfer you to Kafue National park in an air-conditioned vehicle and arrive early or late in the afternoon.

      Time allowing, after checking-in at Mukambi safari Lodge,  you will be at liberty to explore the environment of your luxury safari lodge and possibly do a night safari drive.

  • Day 2 Day 2: Kafue National Park

      Day 2: Kafue National Park

      Today, early in the morning your guide will pick you for an exciting and dramatic walking safari experience. This will afford you an opportunity to have an up-close view of the animals.

      In the afternoon, will be a free relaxing afternoon and you will be at liberty to choose the available activities offered by the lodge.

  • Day 3 Day 3: Kafue National Park - Lower Zambezi National Park

      Day 3: Kafue National Park - Lower Zambezi National Park

      After your delicious and last breakfast at the lodge, your driver will pick you from your lodge reception for your road transfer to the Lower Zambezi National park via Lusaka. Upon arrival, youโ€™ll be checked in at Kiambi lodge, briefed and if time allows, the clients will take a short rest in their  luxury tents overlooking the Zambezi River. You will then embark on a Sunset Safari Cruise. The boat departs mid-afternoon and eventually, the trip accords you the opportunity to view sun; in a big red glow as it sets on the African horizon leaving behind a trail of reflection on the river and silhouettes of the African jungle as it awakens to a variety of nocturne animals, birds and insects sounds. After the cruise, the clients will be allowed to go to their rooms to freshen up in readiness for dinner on the banks of the Zambezi River. 

  • Day 4 Day 4: Lower Zambezi National Park

      Day 4: Lower Zambezi National Park

      Rise early for a full day safari cruise along the Zambezi River. The Lower Zambezi is a valley which on one end runs along the might Zambezi River. Naturally high temperatures are part of life. The river basins and the banks are an automatic attraction to both humans and animals for a cooler environment to mitigate the heat, hence a game cruise along the river gives you the obvious opportunity to view a concentrated wide variety of animals. As the boat slowly and majestically sails along the river it brings you to some of the most overwhelming encounters both on the river banks and on the river. The boat takes several stops on the river as you continue having fun viewing animals both on land and on the river. Lunch and refreshments are provided en-route the banks of the Zambezi River. This activity takes the whole day. At the end of this activity, you will be transferred back to the lodge for your dinner and bed. 

  • Day 5 Day 5: Lower Zambezi National Park - South Luangwa National Park

      Day 5: Lower Zambezi National Park - South Luangwa National Park

      After your last breakfast at your lodge in Lower Zambezi National Park. Check out and prepare for transfer to Kenneth Kaunda International Airport. Arrive at Kenneth Kaunda International Airport and our uniformed representative will meet you and advise you on your next local flight from Lusaka to Mfuwe in the South Luangwa National Park. Time allowing, after checking-in at the Flat dogs safari camp, you will be at liberty to explore the environment of your luxury safari lodge/camp and later in the afternoon, your driver /guide will pick you and off for your approximately 4 hours night drive in the park and return to the camp just in time for your sumptuous dinner.

  • Day 6 Day 6: South Luangwa National Park

      Day 6: South Luangwa National Park

      Your guide will pick you from the reception of your lodge for your early morning 4-hours game drive in the park [teas, mineral water, and coffees are served during the game drive].

      In the afternoon after lunch, you will have an opportunity to interact with the community and have the opportunity to do your village walk. Exchange each otherโ€™s cultures and norms. Or go for any other activities of interest as will be availed to you.

  • Day 7 Day 7: South Luangwa National Park
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Day 7: South Luangwa National Park

      On this day in the park, you will set off for the 3 hours early morning walking safari in the park accompanied by an armed game ranger from national parks authority. This safari will afford you once again an up-close view of the wildlife. Five hours later, you will be back at the lodge/camp in time for your lunch.

      In the afternoon, you will have an opportunity to visit Kawasa village and Chipembele Animal Orphanage. Here, you will interact with the community and view the orphaned rhinos  ( if available)which is made possible by the Luangwa Conservation and Community Fund.

  • Day 8 Day 8: South Luangwa National Park - Livingstone - Victoria Falls - Livingstone
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Day 8: South Luangwa National Park - Livingstone - Victoria Falls - Livingstone

      After your early delicious and last breakfast at this lodge, your driver will pick you from your lodge reception for your return air transfer to Lusaka in time for another connecting flight to Livingstone, the home of the awesome, exciting, and spectacular Victoria Falls. Our drivers/guides will be patiently waiting for your arrival at Harry Mwaanga Nkumbula Airport. After meeting the guests, they will be led to the air-conditioned vehicle and transfer to Avani Victoria Falls on bed and breakfast. In the afternoon, you will be picked from the reception of the lodge and be transferred for your exciting, relaxing, and splendid sunset cruise on the mighty Zambezi River above the mighty Victoria Falls aboard a large water vessel.

  • Day 9 Day 9: Livingstone - Victoria Falls - Mosi-Oa-Tunya National Park - Livingstone

      Day 9: Livingstone - Victoria Falls - Mosi-Oa-Tunya National Park - Livingstone

      On this day in the morning after breakfast, the guides will pick the clients from the hotel and transfer them for a guided tour of the Victoria Falls on the Zambia side. Mineral water will be served during the tours. After your dramatic 2-hours tour of the Victoria Falls, you will be transferred back to the Hotel for lunch (at your own cost) In the afternoon there will be time for a game drive in the Mosi-Oa-Tunya National park the home of the white rhinos.  It is a 2 hours tour and includes a mini rhino walk. After the tour, you will be transferred back to the lodge.

      Overnight at the Lodge on Bed & Breakfast.

      After breakfast at your hotel, depending on your flight back home, you will be transferred to Harry Mwaanga Nkumbula Airport for check-in with the help of your guide for your onward flight back home.
