Day 1: The Bucharest Christmas Market
Stop At: Bucharest, Bucharest
Welcome to Romania! Greets you the local guide at the international airport Otopeni. Transfer to your centrally located hotel and check-in. In the afternoon enjoy a three hours sightseeing tour in Bucharest. Bucharest is by far the largest Romanian city with more than 2 Million inhabitants. The city has been settled in the 15th century and served as princely residence for the famous count Dracula. During the sightseeing tour you will discover the most important highlights such as the Palace of the Parliament, the largest building in the World after the Pentagon, the Unification Square with the Patriarchal Church, the University Square, the Roman Square, the Victory Square, the Arch of Triumph and the Revolution Square. In the evening enjoy a stroll through the Bucharest Christmas Market, located ideally in front of the Parliament Palace. Enjoy a delicious traditional dinner in the historic restaurant โCaru cu Bereโ and an outstanding dance show.

Day 2: Champagne and Royalty
Stop At: Peles Castle, Str. Pelesului 2, Sinaia 106100 Romania
The tour continues to Transylvania. Enjoy a scenic ride along the Prahova Valley and stop in Sinaia, the finest alpine town in the Romanian Carpathian Mountains and once home of Romaniaโs first King, Carol I. Here is where you will find the Peles Castle, a superb royal residence built above acres of green meadows, deep inside the forest. Built in German Renaissance style, the Peles Castle is probably the most beautiful castle in Eastern Europe. Next to the castle you will visit the Sinaia Monastery , which was built at the end of the 19th century and it is home for more than 20 monks. Inside the monasteryโs museum you will see the first translation of the Bible into Romanian in the Cyrillic alphabet. In the next town you will enjoy some of the best sparkling wines, directly in the Royal Cellar from Azuga. Scenic coach ride towards Brasov. Dinner at a local restaurant in the Old Town.

Day 3: Draculaโs Castle and the Brasov Christmas Market
Stop At: Bran Castle (Dracula's Castle), Str. General Traian Mosoiu nr. 24, Bran 507025 Romania
This morning you will discover the medieval town Brasov, which was founded by the Germans in the 12th century. Brasovโs highlight is the Black Church, the largest gothic building of its kind between Istanbul and Vienna. At noon you travel to the small village Bran, where you will visit the fairytale like Dracula Castle. The castle was built by the Saxons from Brasov at the end of the 14th century and served as customs between Wallachia and Transylvania. The legend says that Dracula lived here but the history mentioned the royal family spending its summers inside the medieval castle. Legend or truth can be found out only during the inside tour. Return to Brasov and enjoy some free time in the Brasov Christmas Market, located in the Council Square. Overnight in Brasov.

Day 4: Transylvanian countryside and UNESCO heritage
Stop At: Sighisoara, Sighisoara, Mures County, Central Romania, Transylvania
After breakfast you head yourself towards north, along the small Saxon villages with century-old churches and fortifications. Your first stop is the village Viscri, which dates back to the 14th century and where the Prince of Wales owns a traditional Saxon house. Here you will see the fortified church Deutschweisskirch which was listed in 1993 as World Heritage Site by UNESCO. In the afternoon you reach Sighisoara. Sighisoara is the medieval citadel, where Vlad the Impaler (count Dracula) took his first steps. The town was settled by the Saxons in the 13th century. This delightful town still preserves the medieval atmosphere, its 14th century wall, towers and bastions. Enjoy a pleasant walking tour inside the citadel , which is on UNESCO World Heritage list, and see the Clock Tower, the Church on the Hill and the birth house of count Dracula. In the evening you arrive in Sibiu. Check-in and overnight.

Today you will visit the city of Sibiu, probably the most beautiful town of Transylvania. Settled by the Germans back in the 12th century, the town preserves a wonderful medieval cobblestoned centre with hundreds of historic monuments. Discover today the heart of Sibiu and its three interlocking squares: the Grand Square, the Small Square and the Huet Square. Visit the Brukenthal Museum at the Grand Square, which houses the finest art museum in Romania. Right next to it you will see the Catholic Church and the City Hall. The walking tour takes you further to the LiarsโBridge, the first iron bridge in Transylvania, and to the Evangelical Church, the townโs landmark. In the Grand Square you will find the Sibiu Christmas Market, the largest in the country. Spend some time at leisure here before transfering to Bucharest.
