  • Day 1 Longyearbyen
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Longyearbyen

      All our expeditions depart from Longyearbyen, which is easily accessible via daily flights from Oslo in Norway. In the afternoon we go on board our newest expedition vessel MV Vikingfjord. After a safety briefing and introduction from our team, we leave Longyearbyen and wave goodbye to civilisation for the next 7 days. As we sail out through the majestic Adventfjord we will spend time on deck watching for the whales that frequent the waters.

  • Day 2 Prins Karls Foreland

      Prins Karls Foreland

      In the morning we arrive Prins Karls Foreland, an uninhabited island which is known for its many walrus colonies. We will launch the Zodiac landing craft to go ashore and get a closer look at these magnificent creatures. The plan for the afternoon is a wilderness hike where it is very likely to encounter some Svalbard reindeer.

  • Day 3 Exploring The North-West Coast

      Exploring The North-West Coast

      We aim to sail to the north west of Spitsbergen. The area is home to some majestic glaciers, and we plan to do zodiac cruises to experience this natural spectacle up close.

  • Day 4 Exploring The North-West Coast

      Exploring The North-West Coast

      On day 4 we will do some shorter length hikes where we will stop by some historical sites. As on all our shore landings our guides will give lectures and provide you with information about the places we visit. When back onboard the ship we will continue our lookout for wildlife.

  • Day 5 Lilliehook Fjord

      Lilliehook Fjord

      As we head back south we will include several stops in the area of Kongsfjorden, one of the most beautiful fjords in Svalbard. We plan to drop the zodiacs and do a beautiful cruise along one of Svalbardยดs largest calving glacier fronts, the Lilliehook glacier.

  • Day 6 Kongsfjorden
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Kongsfjorden

      We will stay another day in Kongsfjorden to witness natureโ€™s beauty in its rawest form with options for shore landings and exploring by zodiac.

  • Day 7 Longyearbyen
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Longyearbyen

      After a week of sharing a wonderful adventure together, our journey comes to an end and we arrive back at the port of Longyearbyen.

      The itinerary is a guide only. On every expedition we are dependent on working and cooperating with the weather and ice conditions. Keep in mind that our expedition leader will make sure you see as much as possible.
