Upon arrival at the Xunantunich Maya site, prepare to be awe-struck by the magnificence of this ancient city. Known as "Maiden of the Rock" in the Maya language, Xunantunich showcases towering pyramids, intricate stone carvings, and expansive plazas that once served as the epicenter of Maya civilization. As we climb to the top of El Castillo, the highest structure in the site, breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding jungle await. Our guide will regale us with captivating stories of the site’s significance and the daily lives of the Maya people who once inhabited this sacred place.

After exploring the wonders of Xunantunich, you will have some time to have lunch. After lunch we’ll embark on a scenic drive to the peaceful Barton Creek Cave. Here, we’ll experience the beauty and mystery of an underground world as we paddle our way through the cave system in a traditional canoe. As we glide along the calm waters, our expert guide will illuminate the cave’s fascinating geological formations and share intriguing stories of its historical and spiritual significance to the ancient Maya civilization. Be prepared to witness sparkling stalactites, mysterious rock formations, and perhaps even catch a glimpse of ancient artifacts left behind by the Maya.

Your day starts off fishing inside the reef next to the beautiful Barrier Reef fishing for Snappers, Jacks, Barracuda or just about anything that will bite. Your guide will also free dive for fresh lobster or conch (depending on availability and season).

Relax on our white sandy beach while your guide prepares your beach BBQ lunch, which includes sides that are usually fresh fruits, fresh veggies, beans and flour tortilla. Once done you will head off to one of many beautiful snorkel areas. Your guide will make recommendation if needed.

Snorkel Hol Chan and shark ray alley:

Get your hearts racing as you swim with sharks and rays during a snorkel trip to one of the best sites of the Belize Barrier Reef.

Start your morning on a snorkel trip at Hol Chan Marine Reserve, which is considered the most popular snorkel site in Belize. Snorkelling is the perfect half day activity for all ages. A short 15 minute boat ride South of San Pedro, Hol Chan is very accessible. The shallow waters of the reserve have a maximum depth of 30 feet which makes for great visibility. It is home to over 160 species of fish, along with nearly 40 species of corals, 5 sponges, 8 algaes, 2 seagrasses, 3 marine mammals and 3 species of sea turtle.

Your next adventure is at Shark Ray Alley, lying just 3 minutes from Hol Chan. Here, Nurse Sharks and Southern Stingrays politely greet you as you arrive to visit them. At Shark Ray Alley, not only will you feel the excitement and novelty of swimming with large numbers of nurse sharks and sting rays, you will swim with schools of fish that congregate there to feed.
