      Day 2: Zambezi River

Wake up at around 7h00. Tea, coffee and continental breakfast will be prepared by our staff.

Todayโ€™s rafting section will take you from rapid #21 to a rapid called ยซ Lower Moemba ยป (25 km downstream). The Zambezi will offer on this section some challenging grade 5 rapids like, ยซ Open Season ยป, ยซ Narrows 1 and 2 ยป, ยซ Chimamba falls ยป and ยซ Upper Moemba ยป. But progressively, as you drift downstream, the tranquil pools in between the rapids will become longer, giving you more time to enjoy the splendour of the Batoka gorge and fish as you drift quietly down the river. We will have lunch at mid-day on the side of the river.

We will raft all the way to Upper Moemba, run it and take out on a sandy beach below the rapid. We will set up camp here for the night. Tea, Coffee, drinks and snacks. Dinner will be served around a camp fire on the beach.
