  • Day 1 Day 1-2: Arrival Livingstone

      Day 1-2: Arrival Livingstone

      The journey begins in Livingstone (Zambia) at the campsite of the Victoria Falls Waterfront Lodge, where you will meet your tour group and your tour guide at around 14:00. The next two days are at your disposal for exploring the Victoria Falls and its surroundings. A visit to the mighty and imposing waterfalls will show you one of the greatest natural wonders of the world, whose masses of water plunge spectacularly into the Zambezi Gorge. A wide range of activities such as white-water rafting, elephant rides, helicopter flights, bungee jumping etc. are optionally available. 2 nights in a tent.

  • Day 2 Day 3: Livingstone - Kafue River

      Day 3: Livingstone - Kafue River

      After a long drive through the hilly and forested Miombo Hills, you finally reach the savannah plateaus and steep slopes of southern Zambia. You set up camp on the Kafue River. Overnight stay in a tent. (Travel time approx. 10 hours, 500 km).

  • Day 3 Day 4-5: Kafue River - Zambezi River

      Day 4-5: Kafue River - Zambezi River

      Your next destination is the Lower Zambezi Valley, where you spend a wild night on an island in the river. During your canoe tour, you can observe elephants, flocks of birds and numerous other wild animals. The following day you will also travel by canoe and experience particularly intense wildlife sightings from the water. Itโ€™s amazing what a change of perspective can do... During these two days, you will be accompanied by local guides. In the afternoon of day 5 you will be taken back to camp by motorboat. 2 nights in a tent (4th day: bush shower & toilet tent; 5th day: campsite). (Day 4: travel time approx. 4 hours, 50 km).

  • Day 4 Day 6: Zambezi River - Lusaka - Petauke

      Day 6: Zambezi River - Lusaka - Petauke

      Lusaka, the capital of Zambia, is your stopover. Stock up on supplies for the next few days of travel here. You then continue your journey on the Great East Road to Petauke. Overnight stay in a lodge. (Travel time approx. 10-12 hours, 550 km).

  • Day 5 Day 7-9: Petauke - South Luangwa National Park

      Day 7-9: Petauke - South Luangwa National Park

      Your journey today takes you to the wild and remote South Luangwa National Park in the valley of the Luangwa River. The park is considered one of the most beautiful wildlife areas in Africa and is home to an abundance of hippos, crocodiles, elephants, lions and leopards that is rarely found in other game reserves. Accompanied by local guides, you will explore this fascinating retreat during two game walks and two drives in an open safari vehicle. A special highlight is the night drive to observe nocturnal animals. You will camp at a beautiful campsite with a swimming pool on the banks of the Luangwa River. 3 nights in a tent. (Day 7: driving time approx. 7-8 hours, 330 km).

  • Day 6 Day 10-11: South Luangwa National Park - Lake Malawi

      Day 10-11: South Luangwa National Park - Lake Malawi

      You reach Malawi, the "warm heart of Africa". In the capital Lilongwe, the supplies are replenished with fresh food. The journey then continues to Lake Malawi, on the shores of which the camp is set up. On a boat trip to the islands, you will explore fantastic secluded bays. 2 nights in a tent. (Day 10: travel time approx. 9 hours, 500 km).

  • Day 7 Day 12-13: Lake Malawi - Mozambique

      Day 12-13: Lake Malawi - Mozambique

      The journey continues south, where you cross the border in Zobue and enter Mozambique. You cross the Zambezi River again before driving through the relatively undeveloped Tete region. Here you will get to know a very pristine Africa. 2 nights in a tent (basic sanitary facilities). (Per day: driving time approx. 8-9 hours, 400 km) For guests on the 12-day variant (Livingstone to Lilongwe), the trip ends at the airport on day 12 at around 14:00.

  • Day 8 Day 14-15: Mozambique - Vilankulo - Excursion Bazaruto Islands

      Day 14-15: Mozambique - Vilankulo - Excursion Bazaruto Islands

      After reaching the Indian Ocean, you continue south to Vilankulo. A whole day is dedicated to exploring the island world of Magaruque on a dhow, the traditional fishing sailing boat. Magaruque is one of the Bazaruto Islands. A breathtaking blue sea, endless white beaches, delicious fish and seafood - a day like a dream! 2 nights in a guest house. (Day 14: travel time approx. 8 hours, 530 km).

  • Day 9 Day 16-17: Vilankulo - Inhambane

      Day 16-17: Vilankulo - Inhambane

      Inhambane has strong Arab influences, reminiscent of the time when slaves, ivory, gold and spices were traded there. Discover Inhambane and the over 200-year-old church "Nossa Senhora de Conceicรฃo" on your own. Then set off for Praia de Barra to your reed-grass huts under palm trees on the beach. Dhow trips and diving on the coral reef are possible (optional). 2 nights in a lodge. (Day 16: travel time approx. 8-9 hours, 530 km).

  • Day 10 Day 18: Inhambane - Chizavane

      Day 18: Inhambane - Chizavane

      You continue your journey along the coast and reach Chizavane. The accommodation is located on the coastal dunes and offers a wonderful view of the surrounding natural bush landscape and the extensive beach. At low tide, you can see a long rocky reef parallel to the beach. This creates a shallow, calm pool that is ideal for snorkeling and swimming. Overnight stay in the guest house. (Travel time approx. 7 hours, 360 km).

  • Day 11 Day 19-20: Chizavane - Kruger National Park

      Day 19-20: Chizavane - Kruger National Park

      Today, a highlight of the trip is on the program: you drive through the Transfrontier Limpopo National Park and reach the Kruger National Park in South Africa. In the land of the "Big Five", you will go on game drives through the national park in the morning and late afternoon to track down lions, giraffes and elephants. The feeling of the real African wilderness is omnipresent. 2 nights in a tent. (19th day: driving time approx. 8 hours, 350 km).

  • Day 12 Day 21: Kruger National Park - Mpumalanga

      Day 21: Kruger National Park - Mpumalanga

      After a final game drive, your time in the famous Kruger NP comes to an end. You spend your last evening together in a private lodge outside the national park and reflect on the trip. Overnight stay in a lodge. (Travel time approx. 5-6 hours, 180 km).

  • Day 13 Day 22: Mpumalanga - Johannesburg

      Today itโ€™s time to say goodbye. In the late afternoon (around 17:00) you will arrive at Johannesburg airport and take your flight home. (Travel time approx. 8-9 hours, 500 km).
