You check in, but can’t stay inside for long - your curiosity about the megacity is far too great! What better way to get an overview of the metropolis than from above? "The Edge" offers you a breathtaking view of the unmistakable skyline (optional, payable on site). Do you dare to look down through the glass floor? Last destination for today: Times Square, the beating heart of the city. It is shrill, colorful, hectic and loud here at any time of day or night. Neon signs and video screens vie for your attention and you don’t know where to look first!

Are you ready for the urban jungle? Start your city tour early in the morning at the famous Brooklyn Bridge. The view of Manhattan in the light of the rising sun is magical! Fancy breakfast? Be sure to try the bagel creations at Ess-a-Bagel! Well fortified, let yourself drift through Manhattan - literally: take the free ferry to Staten Island, which will take you to the city’s landmark - Lady Liberty. It’s an incredible feeling to stand right in front of this graceful figure. From the ferry, you have a fantastic view of the skyline, whose skyscrapers glitter in the sunlight. Back on land, we head to another must-see: the 9/11 Memorial (optional, payable on site), which commemorates the attacks of September 11, 2001. At Ground Zero, where the Twin Towers once stood, there are now two fountains that make the gap clearly visible. The best place to end the afternoon is Greenwich Village. It is teeming with pretty boutiques, vintage stores and cozy cafés.

One big highlight is still missing: Central Park! New York’s green lung is a must-see on any trip! And luckily it’s not far away. Here you can escape the urban jungle for a while. With a coffee in hand, make yourself comfortable on a park bench and observe life away from the hustle and bustle before taking a closer look at Midtown Manhattan. In addition to the famous Empire State Building and the Flatiron Building, you’ll also find plenty of food trucks that will make your culinary heart beat faster.

Today it’s time to say goodbye to New York. But not without a walk through one of the most extraordinary parks in the world: the High Line Park! At a height of 9 meters, you can stroll through the green park between skyscrapers. Sounds crazy? It is! Because the park was built on an old elevated railway line. Have you had another rest? Then it’s time to make your way to the station. The Amtrak train is just coming to a halt on the tracks and you make yourself comfortable at the window. Small towns and large cities, green landscapes and pure wilderness alternate along the train route. After a good three hours, it’s time to say: "Next stop - Washington, D.C."!

The early bird flies to Washington’s center of power! Because the list of must-sees is long. So where to start? At the Capitol, of course, which sits majestically on Capitol Hill. Standing in front of the imposing, snow-white building, which you’ve only seen on TV so far, is a bit overwhelming! After all, history was and is made here every day. I wonder what it looks like inside? You can find out on a free guided tour! Continue through the National Mall to the Lincoln Memorial. The almost five-kilometre-long park in the center of Washington stretches like a huge promenade between the important monuments. And that’s not all - there are numerous museums and sights around the National Mall: Museums such as the National Museum of Natural History, the National Museum of American History and the impressive Washington Monument, which rises 169.05 meters into the air. From here, you can even catch a glimpse of the president’s famous residence. A detour to the White House is of course a must. What is impressive from afar is almost intimidating up close! Hardly any other building has as much charisma, character, power and history as the White House!

Stroll along the famous Strip, past the fancy hotels. A photo at the famous "Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas" sign? It’s a must! Enjoy the spectacular view of the city? And Las Vegas wouldn’t be Las Vegas if there wasn’t a graveyard for the Strip’s discarded neon signs. Suitcases stowed away? Then start your discovery tour on Market Street in Downtown, at the turning point of the famous cable cars. So why not hop on right away and explore the city on the historic rails (optional, payable locally)? Especially recommended: the Powell-Hyde line, which runs from Powell across the city to northern Hyde. Stopover at Union Square - a must! Restaurants, cafés, boutiques and other stores are lined up here. No wonder it’s one of the city’s meeting places! Continue on to one of the most famous photo spots and probably the most winding street in the world: Lombard Street. The red cobbled street winds its way downhill in eight bends - surrounded by a veritable sea of flowers. Of course, one must-see is still missing: the Golden Gate Bridge! At the terminus in Hyde, the iconic bridge shines in all its glory. So, don’t forget your camera!
