  • Day 1 Day 1: Arrival

      Individual arrival in Lima. After your arrival at the airport "Jorge Chavez" you will be met by your local tour guide and accompanied to your hotel.


  • Day 2 Day 2: Lima - Arequipa

      Day 2: Lima - Arequipa

      After breakfast you will start the day with a city tour. You will get to know the historical center of the city of Lima and the modern district of Miraflores. On the way to the center, you will visit a local market in the Surquillo district to taste local Peruvian fruits. Continue to the old town, where you will find the Plaza Mayor, with its magnificent colonial buildings and balconies.


      Then you will be driven to the Larco Museum, located in the traditional district of Pueblo Libre.


      In the late afternoon, transfer to the airport for your flight to Arequipa. There you will be welcomed by your tour guide and transferred to your hotel.

      After breakfast, you will start your tour at the Carmen Alto viewpoint across from the Chili River, where you can enjoy a panoramic view of the city. You will continue to the traditional Yanahuara neighborhood, crisscrossed with cobbled little streets, and then to the city center. Afterwards, you will visit the oldest and most beautiful market in Arequipa. At the San Camilo market you will find all kinds of curiosities from medicinal herbs to frog juice to pins.


      The rest of the day is at your leisure.

  • Day 4 Day 4: Arequipa - Colca

      You will leave the city in the direction of Yura. You will enter the Pampa Caรฑahuas Nature Reserve, a vast plateau where you can see free-ranging vicuรฑas, a native tameable species of camel. You will then drive through Vizcachani and the pampas of Toccra, passing the crater of Chucura Volcano to reach the Andean viewpoint in Patapampa (4,800 m a.s.l.), from where you can see the various volcanoes that surround Arequipa. In the village of Chivay you can have lunch before being transferred to your hotel in the Colca Canyon in the afternoon. Optionally, you can also visit the local thermal baths in the afternoon.

      Early in the morning you will go to the Cross of the Condor, from where you can admire the Colca Valley (whose canyon is one of the deepest in the world). You will visit the villages of Pinchollo, Maca, Achoma and Yanque and the viewpoints of Antahuilque and Choquetico. Back in Chivay, you will set off towards the city of Puno, taking the detour via Patahuasi. After about six hours of driving, you will reach Puno and can rest from the long drive at your hotel.

      Today you will depart for a full day excursion on Lake Titicaca, the highest lake in the world navigable by large ships. Your motorboat will take you to the floating rush islands of the Uros.


      Afterwards you will go to Llachรณn. There you will be greeted by the inhabitants with their typical dresses. You will have time for walks to the different beaches of Llachรณn and finally return to Puno after a wonderful day.

      Day 7: Puno - Cusco (Scheduled Bus Ride To Cusco With Sightseeing On The Way)

      Today, a full day scheduled bus ride from Puno to Cusco is on the agenda. A vehicle will pick you up from your hotel at the appointed time and take you to the bus terminal, where you will be taken care of by a representative. A German-speaking guide will accompany you on this route and tell you all about the sights you will visit along the way. Upon arrival at the bus terminal in Cusco, your guide will pick you up and take you to your hotel.


      On the way, you will visit the town of Andahuaylillas as well as the ruins of Racchi and the small town of Pucara. You will also be served lunch at Sicuani.



      Note: The bus trip is shared with international travelers. For groups of 10 or more, the bus ride will be in a private bus.

      The morning of today begins with the city tour, where you will first visit the "Plaza de Armas". During the visit of the cathedral you can have a look at the patron against earthquakes, the "Seรฑor de los Temblores", who is very revered by the locals. Then you will go to the most important square of the former Inca Empire, the place of sun worship. If time and energy permit, visit the nearby site of Qenko, an Inca cult site carved out of a limestone wall.

  • Day 9 Day 9: Cusco - Sacred Valley (Day Trip To Chinchero, Maras And Moray)

      Day 9: Cusco - Sacred Valley (Day Trip To Chinchero, Maras And Moray)

      Today you will leave for a day trip to the Sacred Valley of the Incas. First, you will drive to Chinchero, a small Indian village where you will find the ruins of the Inca Tupac Inca Yupanqui and a magnificent colonial church. The main attraction, however, is the Sunday market where a lively barter trade takes place.


      The trip continues to the impressive salt mines of Maras. At Maras you will also visit a typical "chicheria" where you can taste not only the inka drink, but also cuy (guinea pig).


      Afterwards you will visit Moray, a ruined site about 7km from Cusco. Here, the Inca are said to have maintained a large agricultural laboratory where they were able to produce different microclimates, allowing them to grow a large number of different grains. The circular terraces of Moray are surrounded by a beautiful landscape. After an intense and interesting excursion, you will be transferred to your hotel in the Sacred Valley.

  • Day 10 Day 10: Sacred Valley - Huilloc - Machu Picchu

      Day 10: Sacred Valley - Huilloc - Machu Picchu

      First you will visit Huilloc, an indigenous community in the sacred valley, where you will gain an insight into the current way of life and traditions of the indigenous inhabitants. Look forward to interesting encounters and lunch with the locals.


      The tour continues to Ollantaytambo.


      After a detailed tour of the Ollantaytambo ruins, you will be taken to the train station and start your train journey to Aguas Calientes (unaccompanied train journey).


      On arrival in Aguas Calientes, you will be met by your tour guide and taken to your hotel.



      NOTE:


      Luggage Machu Picchu: For the overnight stay in Aguas Calientes, only one small piece of luggage (small bag or rucksack; max. 5 kg / length + width + height max. 157 cm) may be carried. The rest of your luggage will be taken to your hotel in Cusco.

  • Day 11 Day 11: Machu Picchu - Cusco

      Day 11: Machu Picchu - Cusco

      From Aguas Calientes you will take a shuttle bus to the Inca citadel of Machu Picchu, which is picturesquely situated high up on a mountain. Machu Picchu means "old peak" in German and is located at an altitude of about 2,450 meters. After the guided tour of Machu Picchu, you will have the opportunity to climb Mount Huayna Picchu without a guide (entrance fees already included). In the late afternoon you will take the train back to Ollantaytambo and from there the bus to Cusco, where you will arrive at the hotel in the evening.

  • Day 12 Day 12: Cusco - Lima - Departure

      Today it is time to say goodbye. You will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Lima. Here ends your round trip.
