Dayย 1: Arrival in Douala
Guests are welcomed at the airport and then transferred to theย hotel.
Dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Douala - Buea - Mount Cameroon
After breakfast, you'll visit the city of Douala and drive to Buea, at the foot of Mount Cameroon. We will visit the city of Buea (Capital of the Southwest Region) and meet with the officials of the Mount Cameroon Touristic site for entrance and climbing formalities.ย
You can start climbing Mount Cameroon in the afternoon, till the first refuge at about ย 2,000 meters. We will overnight here and will be sleeping in tents.
Day 3: Mount Cameroon
Today is a continuation of the trekking till the second refuge (3,000 meters) where the slopes become more feasible and the grass disappears. You'll need endurance to arrive at the summit (4100 m) today, and then we will begin our descent to the second refuge where we will overnight in tents.ย
Day 4 : Mount Cameroon - Limbรฉ
After breakfast, we will continue and complete our descent of Mount Cameroon. Next, we will drive to Limbรฉ and visit to the Tole tea plantations and check-in to the hotel.
After lunch, we'll drive to Bimbia and visit the residue of the slave trade site, which is still very obvious even after over a century of their construction.
We will then return to Limbรฉ and enjoy dinner at the beach. We will stay overnight.
Day 5: Limbe - Ekom Nkam - Melong
This morning we will enjoy swimming in the Atlantic Ocean and then drive to Melong. Along the way, we will visit large plantations of bananas, rubber tree, palm oil, coffee, cocoa, and more. We'll have a chance to visit the spectacular Ekom-Nkamย waterfalls (80 meters high). Next, we will check-in at Villa Luciole for dinner and overnight.ย
Day 6: ย Melongย - Manengouba Mountains
After breakfast, we will depart for a new challenge: climb the Manengouba mountains until their peak at 2,600 meters of altitude. We'll discover the twin lakes (male and females), and contemplateย many other beautiesย of nature. Enjoy a picnic at the lake, and descend the mountain in afternoon. Dinner and overnight.
Day 7: Melongย - Douala
On our last day, we will drive back to Douala, visit the handicraft center and then you'll be transferred to the airport for your return flight.ย
**We strongly urge booking at least two weeks in advance to guarantee your spot in the description.ย
