      Our English guide will pick you in Kunming airport and take the shuttle bus back to hotel in Kunming. 

      Free at leisure for the rest of the time. 

      Overnight at Kunming honghe hotel 

  • Day 2 Day 2: Kunmung - Naigu Stone Forest (B/-/-)

      Day 2: Kunmung - Naigu Stone Forest (B/-/-)

      Pick up in Kunming hotel (own booking) and transfer with English guide driver to Naigu stone forest (take train to Shilin and take a taxi to Naigu Stone forest, have a nice trekking tour in Naigu Stone forest park. 

      Transfer back to Kunming hotel by train and free at leisure. 

      Overnight at Kunming Honghe hotel 

  • Day 3 Day 3: Dali

      Take the bullt train from Kunming to Dali.Guide will pick you up in Dali train station.

      Start tour from the morning market of Xizhou Town and exlore the Xizhou town. Itโ€™s a classic Bai ethnic town. Followed by a walking around in the old street of Xizhou and to witness the Bai traditional architectures. 

      Then take the cruise tour in Erhai Lake Erhai means, "sea shaped like an ear", in Chinese. Implying that the lake is ear shaped and as large as a sea, hence it was so named.It is like a crescent lying between Cangshan and Dali city as seen from Cangshan Mount. 

      Later continue to discover the Dali Old Town. ( It was set up in 1382 A.D during the Ming Dynasty as the capital of the Dali kingdom. There are well-preserved traditional houses of the Bai Ethnic Group people.

      Take the morning train from Dali to Lijiang. ( You will arrange the transfer from Dali hotel to Dali train station by yourself). 

      The guide in Lijiang will pick you up in Lijiang train station and have a tour of Lijiang old town.

      Lijiang Old Town Located on the plateau which is 2,400 meters above the sea level and embraced by the tree-covered Lion Mountain in the west, Elephant and Golden Row Mountains in the north, vast fertile fields in the southeast and crystal clear water running through, the old town looks like a big jade ink slab, therefore got the alias the Town of Big Ink Slab (Dayanzhen).

      In the morning, visit Naxi villages-- Yuhu Village and Joseph Rockโ€™s former residence (the house is located in Yuhu--- a small Naxi village about 10km north of Lijiang. It is a pretty farming village, quite isolated - and hence perfect for the quiet scholarship that Rock practised. )Afterward, visit Black Dragon Pond Park As the water here is a lucid green color, it gained another name Jade Spring Park (Yuquan Park). There are many distinctive and ravishing sites in the park and Dongba Culture Museum, sanctuary of the ancient Naxi culture. Walk about the old streets of Lijiang Old Town. A well-preserved old city of ethnic minorities with brilliant culture.  Lijiang was placed on the world cultural heritage list in 1997. Overnight at China Old Story Lijiang Inn 

  • Day 6 Day 6: Lijiang - Tlg - Shangri-La

      Morning guide will pick you up in hotel and take a public bus to Tiger Leaping Gorge. 

      Tiger Leaping Gorge, located half way between Lijiang and Zhongdian. After entering the area by car for about 10 km, you will reach the narrowest point of the Gorge. Legend says it is so narrow here that a hunted tiger could escape in one jump. Itโ€™s the worldโ€™s deepest gorge. 

      Then take a public bus to Zhongdian with guide. 

      Overnight at Salong hotel 

  • Day 7 Day 7: Shangri La

      Day 7: Shangri La

      Take a tour of Lake Napa Nature Reserve (aka Lake Napa), lying in the valley of a high mountain plateau situated about 3270 m above sea level and covering 660 sq km , is located about 400 km northwest. Later visit the jewel of Tibetan cultures, Ganden Songzanglin Temple, built by the 5th Dalai Lama. This monastery follows the architecture of the Potala Palace in Lhasa and hosts a community of 700 monks. Later go to visit a Tibetan Family and stroll in Dukezong Old Town.

      Day 8

      Morning take the shuttle bus from Shangri la to Lijiang.

      And then take the bullet train from Lijiang to Kunming.
