  • Day 1 Transfer From Kigali, Rwanda To Bwindi National Park

      Transfer From Kigali, Rwanda To Bwindi National Park

      Our representative will pick you up in Kigali and drive to Bwindi National Park. The drive to Uganda will go through Rwandaโ€™s northern town of Ruhengeri. You will then cross into Uganda via the Cyanika or Katuna border post. The trip continues through the nearby Kisoro or Kabale town and finally to Bwindi National Park. The drive from Kigali to Bwindi National Park will take approximately 5 hrs. Arriving at Bwindi National Park in the early afternoon will allow you to do optional activities such as hiking, visiting the Batwa community, coffee-making experience, etc.

  • Day 2 Gorilla Trekking At Bwindi National Park
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Gorilla Trekking At Bwindi National Park

      You will head to the Bwindi National Park gate immediately after breakfast to get a briefing about the gorilla trek. The national park guide will conduct the presentation covering what to expect during the gorilla trek. The national guide will assign the gorilla trekking group during the pre-trekking briefing. Other visitors will likely join you. The gorilla trek can take from a few to many hours, depending on how far the gorillas are inside the forestโ€”Dinner and overnight at Bwindi National Park. Note: Depending on the availability of gorilla trekking permits, we might suggest trekking the gorillas at Mgahinga Gorilla National Park.

  • Day 3 Transfer To Queen Elizabeth National Park For Game Drives

      Transfer To Queen Elizabeth National Park For Game Drives

      We will start the journey in the morning from Bwindi National Park and drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park. The tour will take you through the stunning landscapes of western Uganda. You will arrive at Queen Elizabeth National Park in the late afternoon. 

      Ishasha sector for tree-climbing lions (sector Ishasha will be skipped if tree lions are not available)

      On the way from Bwindi National Park, we will drive through the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park, popularly known for its tree-climbing lions. Unlike their counterparts at the Kasenyi plains, the lions at Ishasha have found a way to climb the fig trees to enjoy the warm temperatures available in the park. While the sighting of the tree-climbing lions is not 100% guaranteed, a stopover at Ishasha is worth a visit!

  • Day 4 Kasenyi Game Drives And Boat Trip On Kazinga Channel

      Kasenyi Game Drives And Boat Trip On Kazinga Channel

      Kasenyi Plains game drive

      You will start the day with an early morning breakfast at the lodge. Afterward, we proceed to the famed Kasenyi plains of Queen Elizabeth National Park to spot various species of wild animals. Kasenyi plains dwell in the vast savannahs of the Albertine Rift in Queen Elizabeth National Park. It will be a morning full of adventure! Expect to encounter lions, herds of buffalos, elephants, Uganda kobs, topi, and bushbucks. While spotting the "Big Five" in the park is not guaranteed, on a lucky day, you may site leopards to make it to the "Big Four." We will return to the lodge for lunch.

      Kazinga channel boat cruise

      After lunch, join the Kazinga channel boat cruise for an afternoon of wild game viewing. You will spot crocodiles, buffaloes, elephants, and a wide range of bird species on the channel waters.

  • Day 5 Chimpanzee Trekking At Kalinzu Forest Reserve & Transfer To Kampala/Entebbe
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Chimpanzee Trekking At Kalinzu Forest Reserve & Transfer To Kampala/Entebbe

      After breakfast, we will drive to the Kalinzu forest to trek the chimpanzees in their forest home. If you are lucky on the trek, you might encounter other species of monkeys in the Kalinzu forest. These include colobus monkeys, olive baboons, and red-tailed monkeys. Transfer to Kampala/Entebbe after the chimp trek. Driving to Kigali, Rwanda, after the chimpanzee trek at Kalinzu forest is also possible. The estimated drive time from Kalinzu Forest to Kampala or Kigali is 6hrs.
