Bus sightseeing tour “Kyiv, the City of Legends”.

You will see this glorious and one of the oldest cities in Europe in all its beauty: Podil, Pechersk and Lypky districts, the picturesque banks of the Dnipro River and the main Kyivan sights.

There’s nothing like Kyiv’s panorama, with its modern skyscrapers and golden-domed churches.

The most famous and impressive of them is St. Sophia Cathedral that is more than 1000 years old and Kyiv Pechersk Lavra. Both of them we will see during the tour.

Lunch.

After lunch we continue to explore the city and visit sights which show “Kyiv through the Ages”. It’s a walking tour and you will see some of the most wonderful monuments and sites in the capital of Ukraine. Here is Kyiv close-up: the Golden Gates, St. Sofia Cathedral, the old stronghold “where the land of Rus came from”, Andriyivskiy Descent with its beautiful Andriyivska Church. You will ensure, why Kyiv is called both ancient and eternally young!

In your free time, we suggest you to visit the Museum of Ukrainian Nation Making. (pay additionaly)

The first innovative museum of Ukrainian history, where the past is combined with modern technologies.

This is a state-of-the-art museum where you can get acquainted with the history of Ukraine from ancient times till the present.

It will take you only 1,5-2 hours to get acquainted with the centuries-old history of the Ukrainian nation. You will see 25 exhibits featuring historic scenes with absolutely realistic 3-D figures of national heroes — kings, hetmans, military leaders, scholars, artists and sportsmen.

Each installation has interactive audio and video content (guides in 8 languages) as well as special effects, that immerse the visitor into the atmosphere of the era.

Museum expositions are located on the safe level which is used as a shelter.

Tour to the ethnographic complex “Ukrainian village”.

It may be said that you might feel the greatness and beauty of the Ukrainian land and its people. Here you can observe traditional Ukrainian architecture, family life and folk handicrafts and stunning beauty of nature: forests, flowers, lakes.

In addition, you can order a Ukrainian crafts workshop or tasting of traditional Ukrainian dishes!

Lunch.

Visit to the National Museum of the Ukrainian History in the WW II, located just under the titanic Motherland monument (36,6 m) and next to the exhibition of Soviet military equipment.

From the eastern and western sides of the viewing platform, there are military binoculars with 30x optical zoom, which give an opportunity to admire the views of Kiev. This option works well if the weather is good (no rain).

Tour to the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra - the UNESCO memorial and one of the must-see places in Kyiv.

This monastery has been the spiritual center of the Orthodox Christians through the centuries, the repository of wisdom and chronicles, the holy place where pilgrims have come to in order to touch the holy objects.

Founded in 1051, the monastery is visited by hundreds thousands of tourists from all over the world every year.

You can also visit:

- The Museum of Historic Treasures of Ukraine, where the works of artists embody the country’s history since ancient Scythian and Sarmatian tribes till modern times.

- Mykola Syadristy’s Museum of Microminiatures - the place where you can see the shod flea, the world’s smallest electronic engine and world’s smallest book, a chic 0.05 millimeters rose, placed in the human hair polished inside and outside, the caravan of camels in the needle’s eye and other miracles.
