At Godโ€™s Window, you have a magnificent view over the vast Lowveld as far as Kruger National Park, and you hike a short distance through the evergreen rainforest. You then travel along the famous Panorama Route and see, among other things, Bourkeโ€™s Luck Potholes, bizarre cylindrical rock holes that have been carved into the rock by the whirlpools of the river. The highlight is the magnificent Blyde River Canyon with its 800 meter deep gorge. You walk along the western edge and look out over the huge mountain peaks of the Three Rondavels. Day 4: On The Prorsch

"The wilderness of South Africa" is the motto of the day. You set off early in the morning with your tour guide and a safari guide for a full-day safari. In an open off-road vehicle, you will roam through the savannah and mountain bushveld of the southern Kruger National Park. With a bit of luck, you will encounter wildebeest, zebra, impala and warthog as well as the Big Five: elephant, rhino, buffalo, lion and leopard. At the Crocodile River, the border river to the Kruger Park, you will see all the inhabitants of the national park who come to the river to drink, and with a bit of luck, elephants too. Before dinner, you will take a walk around the lodge grounds for around 1 ยฝ hours to spot antelopes, giraffes and zebras.

      Meals
An extensive breakfast package and dinner are included. In the evening, the chef personally prepares a South African braai for you in the open air. We would call it a barbecue evening.

For 10 to 12 people, two off-road vehicles are used, each with a ranger. Your tour guide then travels in one of the two off-road vehicles. In the afternoon, you will switch to the other vehicle.
  • Day 5 Day 5: From Kruger National Park To Eswatini
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

Day 5: From Kruger National Park To Eswatini

The smallest country in the southern hemisphere, the Kingdom of Eswatini (formerly Swaziland) in the middle of South Africa, is full of traditions. Your journey to the Ezulwini Valley near the capital Mbabane takes you past dense forests, high mountains and countless traditional round huts. On the way, you stop at Ngwenya Glass. Swazis all over the country collect old drinks bottles and hand them in here. As the old glass is paid for by the kilogram, some can even earn a little extra income. The glassblowers painstakingly create not only everyday items, but also small works of art in the form of animal figures, angels, lampshades and all kinds of knick-knacks. Come and see for yourself and watch the artists at work.

      Breakfast and dinner are included.

      Accommodation
      Mantenga Lodge
Mantenga Lodge is situated at the foot of the Shebaโ€™s Breasts Mountains in the Ezulwini Valley of Eswatini, formerly Swaziland. Your accommodation for the next night awaits you at the foot of the legendary Ghost Mountain in the heart of the South African Zulu kingdom. In the afternoon, you go on a bird safari. Get your binoculars ready! During a leisurely one-and-a-half-hour walk from the hotel to the nearby Mkuze riverbed, you will spot a large number of birds both in the water and in the open savannah. You are very likely to follow the tracks of the white rhinos living here, whose populations are still endangered due to excessive hunting. On the way to Eshowe in the afternoon, you will meet your local guide Christina Nzuza or one of her colleagues. Christina will take you to her home village of Umlalazi and for about two hours you will immerse yourself in the past and present of Zulu culture. Day 9: In The Elephant Kingdom

Off to the Addo Elephant National Park! There itโ€™s all about listening, smelling and observing. You head out into the bush right after sunrise. You spend the whole day stalking through the bushy landscape of the game park in the touring minibus and observing the gentle pachyderms, which often gather in large herds at the waterholes to cool off under the hot South African sun. You might even spot the rare black rhino, the Cape buffalo that only live here or even lions in the vast grassy steppe. Something special in this region is the giant beetle called the Addo Flightless Dung Beetle. See what South Africaโ€™s nature has to offer.

      Meals
Meals included are breakfast and dinner.

The driving distance is approx. 10 km plus drives in the Addo Elephant National Park.
Canโ€™t get enough? Our additional recommendation:
As an alternative to the safari in the touring minibus, take an approx. two-hour safari in an open off-road vehicle led by English-speaking rangers at 9 am or 12 noon in the Addo Elephant National Park. The price per person is ZAR 520.
