Day 2: Down The Wild West Coast - 45 To 62 Bike Kilometers - Medium Stage

After a tasty breakfast, you will cycle the first few kilometers in a relaxed manner along an old railroad line to the west coast of Jersey. The lighthouse La Corbiรจre lies in a dramatic location. For centuries, tragic shipwrecks had occurred here time and again. But it was only after the mail ship "Express" ran aground in 1859 that the lighthouse was built. Sea air and sea views accompany you on the trip along St Ouenโ€™s Bay. The windswept landscape, extraordinary nature and wild beauty of this region on Jerseyโ€™s west coast, make St. Ouenโ€™s Bay a perfect place to unwind and take a break. Stroll along the sandy beach or along the old antique wall, and when the wind is favorable, watch the kite surfers and surfers from the shore.

Continue to the rocky wilderness of Le Grand Etacquerel, here you can park the bikes and walk a bit along the coastal paths. Flocks of seagulls search between cliffs for small crabs. At an imposing archway high above the sea, the view expands in all directions across the water to the neighboring islands of Guernsey and Sark. In the afternoon you cycle back to the south coast on traffic-calmed โ€™Green Lanesโ€™. You will surely be observed through the big eyes of good-natured Jersey cows. Overnight stay and dinner in Jersey. Middle stage - 62 km

Day 3: To Old Dolms &Amp; Romantic Knightโ€™S Castle - 46 Cycling Kilometers - Medium

In the morning, you will ride along the long bay of St. Aubin on a perfectly developed bike path to the marina of the islandโ€™s capital St. Helier. Here you can park your bikes and explore the island metropolis on foot. It is the hobby of the English to cultivate gardens devotedly, which is why the bike paths are so enchanting. The destination of the next cycling stage is a haven for romantics: Mont Orgueil Castle. You can visit the fortress, which is steeped in history, and then enjoy a tasty lunch in the charming bay. In one of the numerous restaurants at the harbor you can enjoy freshly caught seafood. Afterwards you will drive on green lanes to the famous dolmen of La Hogue Bie. It is the largest megalithic passage tomb in Europe and was built more than a thousand years before the pyramids in Egypt. It is possible to penetrate 22 meters to the huge burial chamber, hidden under 16 capstones of colossal dimensions. A huge mound of earth arches over the tomb. Until 1924, no one knew what was hidden underneath. In the Middle Ages two Christian chapels were built on this mound. Strange stories are connected with this mysterious place. The last and longest stage of the day will take you through the center of the island back to the south coast of the island. 3rd overnight stay in Jersey.

In the morning, walk across the long stretch of beach at St. Breladeโ€™s Bay to a Norman church with magnificent views across the bay. Set in the middle of an enchanted graveyard of leaning tombstones, it is Jerseyโ€™s oldest parish church. The simple little fishermanโ€™s chapel with medieval frescoes is even older. Only a few meters lie between it and the sea. A small path (perquage) and granite steps lead from the church down to the bay. A narrow path between shrubs and broom bushes leads you up to the cliffs. From a secluded rocky cape, you can once again enjoy the magnificent Jersey coastline. You will return to the hotel by public bus. The afternoon is free for you to take a trip to the islandโ€™s capital, St. Helier. 4. overnight stay and dinner in Jersey

Day 5: Island Happy To Guernsey

Today you will take the ferry to Guernsey to the romantic St. Peter Port. When you will be picked up from your hotel in JErsey and take the ferry to Guernsey is determined by the tide and the timetable (1-2 hours crossing). At St.Peter Port you will be met and driven to your hotel. The course of the day will be adjusted according to the departure of terranova. Before dinner you can stroll through the alleys of the cozy little town. The harbor town is considered the most beautiful town of the Channel Islands. From the pretty city park "Candie Gardens" you can enjoy a wonderful view of the harbor and the neighboring islands of Herm and Sark. Here the islanders have set a monument to Victor Hugo. For 15 years the French writer Victor Hugo enjoyed this view in his exile on Guernsey. The author of "The Hunchback of Notre-Dame" created his extravagant and pompous Hauteville House here. From his standing desk he could overlook the town and the whole bay. 1st overnight stay at St. Peter Port, Guernsey.

Day 6: Sark - On A Small Grade To The Seigneur - 18 Km By Bike - Very Easy Stage

"The beauty of rocky crags, cliffs and sea everywhere defy description by words." For the poet Swinburne, Sark was "the loveliest and most wonderful I ever saw," and Victor Hugo described it as a "fairy castle full of wonders." A small ferry will take you in the morning, after a short crossing, to this romantic rock in the sea (55 min crossing). Motorized vehicles are prohibited, you walk, ride a bike or a horse-drawn carriage.

On Sark the "Seigneur" still rules, his island kingdom was considered the last feudal state in Europe until a few years ago. Bike to his residence across the endearingly old-fashioned island. There you will find perhaps the most beautiful garden in the English Channel. Exotic plants and lush herbaceous borders thrive under the protection of the high granite walls. The sea roars below you and the seagulls screech above you as you walk over from Sark to Little Sark on "La Coupรฉe," a narrow rocky ridge. In the past, the crossing was only for those with a head for heights, but today it is secured by a wall. Everywhere along our way, exhilarating views of the sea open up. Back in St. Peter Port you have some time to stroll through the city or to visit the enchanted parks of Candie Gardens. At the harbor and in the shopping street "High Street" there is an abundance of good (fish) restaurants and typical English pubs. 2nd overnight stay at St. Peter Port, Guernsey.

Day 7: Guernsey - Hiking On Clipping Paths - 6 Running Kilometers - Easy Stage

Jersey is larger and more scenic than Guernsey, but Guernseyโ€™s coasts are unique! Steep cliffs of gray to pink granite, wild bays and golden sandy beaches define the coastal landscape. Far out to sea, wildly romantic rocky ridges and capes push their way into the sea. In spring the spectacular cliff landscapes are covered with flowers, in autumn with heather. And again and again a path leads down into a dreamy bay. Today you will walk up and down many stairs along the seashore to the southernmost tip of Guernsey. This landscape, cut by wind and waves, served Auguste Renoir as a model for several paintings. The hike takes about 3-3.5 h - walking poles may be helpful. If you donโ€™t want to do the whole hike, you can "get off" after about 1 hour at a bus stop and take a regular bus back to town. 3. overnight stay at St. Peter Port, Guernsey .
