As you look out of the window on your landing approach, you immediately feel the tingle of anticipation: below you, green hills glide gently into the endless blue of the sea, with hundreds of small and large islands bobbing in the waves. Hong Kong itself covers this coastal landscape like a sparkling cloak: deep urban canyons, gleaming skyscrapers and an endless sea of lights pulsating to the rhythm of the mega city - a city straight out of a science fiction movie! What already seems spectacular from a bird’s eye view only unfolds its full electrifying power in the middle of it all: you walk through wonderfully bustling streets where traditional Chinese stores line up next to modern cafés, while neon signs and polished skyscraper facades compete with each other. Colorful markets and restaurants exude the aroma of thousands of delicacies and invite you to discover completely new culinary worlds. The Central-Mid-Levels escalators, which are 800 meters long, take you to the Peak Tram stop, which takes you up to the Peak Tower (optional, bookable online in advance). From Sky Terrace 428 (optional, payable on site) you have a fantastic view of the city skyline. If you want to go even higher, climb up to Victoria Peak - from up here you have a perfect view of the harbor of the same name. The next must-see is already waiting for you there! Did you know that Hong Kong is world-famous for its film industry? Famous stars such as Bruce Lee and Jackie Chan grew up here and have created a monument to themselves on the Avenue of Stars. Walk in the footsteps of the kung fu legends, take a selfie in front of Bruce Lee’s steely body and enjoy the view of the Hong Kong Island skyline opposite.

But in true Far Eastern tradition, the journey is the reward here, as the Ngong Ping 360 Cable Car takes you to your destination from a bird’s eye view - glass floor and thrills included (optional, payable locally)! Glide slowly over the dense canopy and let your gaze wander over the gentle mountain ranges as the majestic statue of the Tian Tan Buddha grows ever larger before your astonished eyes. Nan Lian Garden is just a few minutes’ walk from Diamond Hill subway station: Birds bathing in the water, trees swaying gently in the wind and the scent of flowers wafting into your nose - wonderful! Make yourself comfortable and soak up a few rays of sunshine before moving on to the next item on your list. Your destination: the Ten Thousands Buddhas Monastery. The climb is a little strenuous, but the life-size golden Buddhas that stand along the path and accompany you on your ascent will quickly make you forget the effort. What a special place! Time for a change of scene: it’s colorful, crowded and loud music is blaring from every corner - welcome to Hong Kong’s nightlife.
